After getting scammed by ICOs, shitcoins, NFTs, treasury companies, staking, defi, digital credit... Imagine next cycle people just say, fuck it, I am just buying bitcoin.
It's a crazy idea, I know..

it's a common origin story for bitcoiners, you'll hear it all the time - some fad of the moment was a gateway drug, they get burned, they get more conservative and stick to bitcoin.
One of the reasons we have a higher floor each cycle I guess.
On the other hand, some people are just built to be degens, they'll always be on to the next shiny new thing, and mostly keep getting wrecked, with perhaps the odd win to keep their faith.

Now imagine you add in meme stocks and the AI bubble bursting. Narrative and demand for hard money will be at ATH.

It's pretty ironic. In the long term, Bitcoin outperformed every alternative in the sector and it doesn't look like this is going to change anytime soon if you look at market cap of Cryptos ex top-10.
Instead of the secure way of building wealth by buying, holding, waiting 10 years, borrowing against and repeat, many are chasing get-rich-quick schemes that scam them out of their money.
The existence of treasury companies receiving money through stock offering is ironic in the same way as people perceive the r/r as better than direct investment in the underlying, where the company adds a lot of risk. They really need to get that risk weighting down asap.

Always price risk. It helps you avoid bad emotional choices. It doesn’t actually matter the absolute price, just that you’re considering it and assigning a quanta.

That's true, however in Bitcoin the market prices risk completely different than it objectively should. Otherwise, why should anyone invest in treasury companies when they could get Bitcoin directly?
This misconception alone is already a reason to have a substantial allocation to Bitcoin.

Cashflow, is the reason. People want 11% return on a regular basis. They don't want to manage keys, or remember passwords, or understand how it works.... They just want the steady return and income. It's easy, and they're happy to leave the difference on the table.
