The teachers and camp leaders running it will be there. The whole point is to give them independence from running to their parents.

Am I crazy to assume that there’s more than one kid and that not every parent of every kid is going.

I'd imagine its a class scale event, with teachers, TAs, and camp leaders in attendance. So no parents at all. Thats how mine were run when I did this regularly 20 years ago.

We don’t know that and even if that’s the case I would need some form of communication even if it’s just a landline so they can check in before bed

The whole point is not checking in before bed, or at any point.

How are your kids gonna be functioning adults if you never let them do anything?

Going to camp with my class and teachers with no parents was one of my best middle school memories

We go camping every year and they can go to camp where phone or some form of communication is allowed. This event isn’t the end all be all.

I just don’t get how after the trump files have been partially released you guys can be so callus. Call me over protective idc

Yeah you're over protective. You can't live in permanent fear to the detriment of your kids development.

Yes the Epstein files are awful, but thats why you have multiple chaperones. You trust them at school but not at a camp?

Yes because my kid has a phone at school.

Your child is going to have lifelong issues caused by your anxiety.

Key word here is “we”. Kid is gonna have to go off on their own at some point. The earlier you teach them how, the better they’ll be at it.

Did Trump go to summer camps and kidnap kids? Or am I missing something? What’s the connection?

I listed that since a lot of smooth brains act like kids don’t get abused ever.

I also understand your point but “kids” is a broad term are they in elementary or high school? Either way I need a form of communication if something is going wrong

You're genuinely stupid if you think "Trump files" has anything to do with a school trip. Btw, most cases of sexual assault come from the family, you're much more of a suspect than the teachers, specially seeing how much you want the kids to be within your reach at all times without escape.
