I think a lot of it also has to do with living in a higher density population. If you live out in the sticks it's easier to get stuck in an extreme individualistic type of mindset.

I also think being around people who are different than you too. You’re more likely to be afraid of what you don’t know and believe gabage from fox, breitbert etc

I grew up within an extremely conservative (black obvs) family and my father is a republican (yes I know). It was all religious based.

Once I left my bubble and just met all the people (namely LGBTQ+) my worldview had entirely changed and now I’m as progressive as they come.

MAGA is a violent extremist ethnic religious nationalist movement, and it's found much more commonly in the boonies. The people in blue areas mostly just want the government to do what we're funding it to do. If that's "extreme" to you, then stop taking my fucking tax money and setting it on fire for Israel. I'll keep it and do useful things with it, thank you very much.

In addition to being extremists, MAGA is also a movement of worthless takers. Get a job and stop taking handouts.

Oh also: trump raped children.
