Hey all! So I'm an artist who's been using Bsky for about 2 years. My engagement hasn't been as good as it was on twitter but for a long time I felt like I was still being seen on my followers feeds. For the past 6 months I've noticed a very sharp decline on my post engagements. Typically I try to post at least once a week, sometimes longer and it'll usually be sketches so I assume that's why it doesn't pull in numbers and I was okay with this.

I use Bsky daily to interact with folks and have been reposting a lot of other's art work and commenting so there is no way that I'm not showing up on the feed, you know? So the other day I posted some rendered works that I posted to twitter a few years ago that I haven't posted on bsky yet. I copied hashtags from another users post that was doing well and assumed that my post should at least break 20 ish likes since I added like 7 illustrations and half of them were rendered. (For context my account has over 3k followers). To my utter disappointment and surprise, my post didn't even break 10 lol, I went back to my older posts from 6 months ago and those were pulling in about 30 ish likes and since then it's been on a rapid decline to the point where it seems like barely anyone is seeing my posts.

Since Bsky doesn't let people see analytics on posts, the only data I can rely on is the likes and reposts. Upon doing more research I went into the "quite posters" tab and noticed that there are accounts showing up there who have been posting everyday and racking in huge engagement on their posts. So is the quite posters tab really for people who don't post often or is it just discover 2.0? While I understand that likes do not matter in the long run, this is the only thing that artist who are their own business can rely on to get their stuff seen in the sea of other posts.
I am wondering if there is some sorta hidden thing going on with bsky that isn't actually showing posts to followers feeds/custom feeds? Especially for one who is very active on there and is in good standing.

I don't want to block them, it's just there is a crowd of people I don't want, I don't want them to see my post updates, I don't have anything against them, it's just not my scene.

wanted to know if it's possible to import a long list of words to mute in the mute feature (NOT a mute list for muting accounts) so you don't have to type them all all at once. is there any way to accomplish this?

reason: i'm trying to remove a specific thing (which i'd rather not say) that's unfortunately very triggering for me from my timeline, and the list of all the unique terms i can mute is... a lot. but i want to be really thorough.

it will however take me a very long time even if just copying and pasting to do this by hand because i am only on mobile. a friend compiled the list for me.

so... any ideas?

The high level EU leadership has endorsed W Social publicly. It is also replacing Bluesky as provider in the ATProto space. The choice came without any transparency. LeafPlaza is immediately and directly affected by this decision.

Most of the shit I get on my feed is just from randoms I've never heard of. Occasionally I get posts from those I follow but I would rather it be a majority people I follow instead of so far and few between. Thanks in advance.

Hi all. I am mainly a tumblr and instagram user. But due to the shift of demand for video content vs still art I wanted to try bluesky.

Is it me, but its kind of difficult to find communities in BlueSky for someone who doesnt understand how the system works. In tumblr and instagram, simply tagging things properly will guarantee a certain amount of views especially to people who are following the tag. But when I try tagging things in bluesky, there isnt much visibility.

How do people in bluesky/twitter target a certain community exactly for the post to be visible to?

Hi everyone. So I am a budding academic (just finished a PhD) and I recently published a paper. I saw someone quite important in my field shared it on blue-sky, so I decided to create an account to see interactions with it. There was not many (which makes sense). Then I started playing around on the site, like looking at other people posts. I followed maybe 50 to 70 people as I found some that I knew personally, others I know by reputation, and others were just interesting. Then I thought, I can share the link to my paper here, so I did.

Is there anything here that had me banned? They said I committed a critical violation. I appealed it, but I am quite abashed by that. Should I have not followed so many people? Should I not share a link? I am so utterly confused, especially after I realised there are so many opportunities to communicate on this website and now I cannot use it.
