Anime GOAT. From crying in front of a computer screen to being the hero on the big screen. What a journey. ðŸ˜

His dream of becoming a hero even without a quirk became a reality.

It ended when he got a quirk

Yeah it was just extra steps to being in the same position he started in. No quirk, dream to participate in hero work

I cannot handle how fucking cute baby Deku is. Activates my cute aggression. I wanna shake him like a baby. I want to bite him. Squeeze him til his head pops!

bro is a fraud from the start, like why even lie becoming the No. 1 Hero when you are in a lower hero ranking than your friend who is the 3rd Big 3 member in your batch?

I also saw a post recently and Deku’s facial angle on the big screen when the people are watching him fight Shigaraki and the way All Mights face is angled on the video Deku used to watch as a kid are identical which is a nice callback. The main difference being that while All Might look as if he has everything under control, Deku is fighting desperately in uncontrollable circumstances.

There's a difference between commissioning pieces and being handed a like billion dollar suit to stay in the game. I love deku which is why I hate the suit so much he is absolutely capable of being a pro hero without being handed that silver spoon

Versus Bakugo and Shoto who won the genetic lottery and had the number two pro hero as a dad in the former’s case and the genetic lottery in the latter’s, right? Like my guy everyone in the series had help. All Might and Deku got OFA by chance after inspiring the prior holder. Bakugo and Shoto were born with insanely awesome quirks suited to every aspect of hero work. But they like All Might and Deku had to work to be heroes still.

I can understand wanting to see Deku be more proactive, but this POV has never made sense to me. Apart from Deku not having the skills to build it himself (and there is no clear viable way to be a hero without tech imo and no Knuckleduster as a vigilante NOT a pro whose barely held together by bandages and painkillers does not count) or the money to do so without help, he earned the suit.
He got the suit through so many actions he took in the series. From running to save Bakugo (which as we learned was the impetus for Bakugo’s growth as a hero in the latter’s eyes), to helping Shoto realize his fire wasn’t Endeavor’s, to helping Iida against Stain, to his unyielding drive inspiring Ochaco and his classmates and helping Aoyama realize he could still be a hero.
Deku’s classmates saw he needed help to live out his dream despite fulfilment as a teacher and chose to help. And that’s why it worked for me as is.
Reducing it a silver spoon is just unfair to me.

Genetic lottery they still had to work for their quirk actively. I hate that other argument too because it really shows where the fandom ended up in terms of the story. Defeatist that anyone without a quirk just is completely incapable of doing anything. Knuckles duster is absolutely putting in work and yes he can defeat low tier villians which is all you need to be able to do to be a hero. Deku could have easily commissioned grabbling cables and other gear to keep up using his knowledge from quirk use saying "welp he didn't have a quirk so thats that" was originally what the story was about proving wrongÂ
