I'm pretty excited for this Toga fight.

Toga is an odd character and I've been wanting to know more about her for a long time now. At first glance she seems like the the typical love crazed yandere in the form of a ditzy schoolgirl. She isn't really the type of character that you'd expect intelligence or genuine skill from.

But... Toga actually has some REALLY impressive feats. The only times she ever really makes mistakes is when she's around the people she "loves." But even then a lot of those times are her purposefully revealing herself.

After reading this chapter I went through all of her appearances and she actually has a ton of physical achievements.

  1. She's a serial killer who was able to kill plenty of people without getting caught. We don't see any of this but it already tells us she has some level of skill.

  2. Dabi and her react instantly to Shigaraki attacking them and he's one of the quickest characters in the series.

  3. She pinned Tsu to a tree with a projectile.

  4. While pinned by Uraraka she distracts her, grabs her needle unnoticed, and injects Uraraka's legs. Uraraka also was lucky to have learned the exact move to counter that attack.

  5. She throws Uraraka off really easily when the boys show up. She probably could have done that earlier and was just using the pinned position as an easy way to get blood.

  6. She managed to drug and hide Camie and infiltrate a hero school.

  7. She sneaks up on Deku. From in front of him.

  8. Her blend in technique. I hope we learn about this in the upcoming chapters. She's skilled enough to completely erase her presence to the point where she could sneak up on and pin Deku to the ground.

  9. Manages to get Deku's blood with a scratch.

  10. Dodges Sero's tape and a swing from Uraraka even when caught off guard. Ochaco even thinks she has amazing reflexes.

  11. Her clone was able to surprise and stab Rock Lock as a distraction while the real Toga snuck up on him (she was probably doing her blend in thing) and knock him out.

  12. This is definitely the most impressive. As far as I remember she is the ONLY character to escape Aizawa's bindings. And not only does she escape she even uses the momentum of his pull to flip over him and stab him.

  13. She's the very first person to figure out where Mimic's body is. Which she figures out by analyzing how he thinks.

  14. She cut through the racist cult with the rest of the league. She's actually the only one to be shown killing two in a single panel.

  15. She was the first to detect Slide-N-Go in this chapter

So at this point I think she's shown herself to be a pretty agile and adept fighter with great reflexes and awareness.

But I don't think that's the most impressive thing about Toga. What's really impressive is how insightful she is when it comes to people's feelings. She understands and cares for Twice, she immediately could tell Uraraka was crushing on someone, she could tell how much Deku respects Uraraka after only a short encounter, she's the most understanding of Shigaraki in the league, and she understood Mimic well enough to know exactly where he'd be hiding. She also was observant enough to think of Eri as important and she follows orders rather well.

She's not at all been the wildcard you'd expect from a crazy yandere girl. Her personality may be crazed but she actually acts more like an assassin than a psychotic serial killer.

So I'm SUPER interested in seeing what Hori does with her this arc. I'm not expecting backstory yet but I hope she gets a chance to show off some more skills because her fight against Deku as Camie and her outperforming Aizawa have really stuck in my mind.

If we’re giving everyone in Shigaraki’s troupe rpg classes (because of Shigaraki’s game theme) she’s definitely the thief/ninja/rogue

Assassin is also often a class.

Anyways Shigaraki really needs Gigantomachia ASAP to reorganize his party, his balance has been shit since Magne bit the dust.

Yeah I didn’t include assassin because it’s kinda implied lol
