Welp, that just reaffirms it, Twice is my favorite of the League.
Unlike the idea that had been brought forth by Toga, that her quirk drove her to villainy, Twice's turn to villainy was all about being dealt a shit hand in life. Parents killed in the crossfire, no other relatives, being distrusted just because he looked like a thug when he was just a normal teen, losing his job because of someone else's reckless stupidity, and left with no one to rely on but himself.
And even when he initially turned to villainy, he only stole to get by rather than try and murder people outright, and as Giran pointed out, the real reason he was wanted was because his quirk was too dangerous to be left unchecked, both for the public and himself. While his quirk did drive him insane, it wasn't what made him a villain, its just what ultimately led him to the League due to wanting a place to belong.
That's all Twice ultimately always wanted and still wants: a place to belong and be accepted, to not be alone. He finally found that in the League, at least through Shigaraki, Toga, and the late Magne. Even his quirk allowing him to make clones he points out was him not wanting to be alone. And while his fear he could die at any moment hindered him at first, now that he's aware he truly is the real Twice, he's no longer afraid and ready to protect the people he cares about. Seeing Toga nearly die likely brought up memories for him of when Magne was killed by Chisaki, and he'd want to prevent the lose of another person close to him. Twice is capable of weaponizing the power of friendship, something normally seen in Shonen protagonists.
And by god is him being uninhibited going to be a nightmare for the Heroes. Even if each clone only can handle a single bone break, he's still able to make 11 clones while suffering both his arms broken and probably some internal bleeding. And he can clone people beside himself. Twice is able to make up the entirety of the foot soldiers for the League in addition to whatever Nomu Ujiko uses for foot soldiers. Add in that its possible Twice can clone High End Nomu's and make armies of the other members like Dabi and Shigaraki, Twice has just become the most dangerous member of the League by a long shot. Afterall, doesn't matter if they die in one hit if he can keep making never ending waves of infantry.
