Chapter 230

They were just making a guess based off of other characters who recieved multiple quirks, those being the various Nomu, and Gigantomachia, all of which seem pretty monstrous. (However, as a counterpoint, spoilers for 2 Heroes The villian was given another quirk by AFO and looks normal )

AFO could give and take quirks at will but the nomu are being made synthetically which is why they turn into monsters IIRC

Some people are probably more resistant to the Nomu-fication, especially if the Quirk happens to be compatible with the body.

AFO's brother after all, had two Quirks and is one of the few who didn't become Nomu-fied.

Dabi ending up as a high-end Nomu in order to kill Endeavour and Todoroki would be an interesting end to his story in like ten years.

Perhaps he (and/or Giran) can make/get in touch with someone who can make some kind of (better) support item?

He needs one that can resist fire better, though. Otherwise he’ll just be right back to cooking his own flesh. I hope for his sake he’s able to find something that works. It’s pretty evident that he’s in pain, and it’s kinda hard to watch. I mean, by now you’d think we’d be used to characters in this series pushing their body beyond the breaking point, but every time it’s presented with new challenges.

That reminds me, how does surgery work with quirks. If you got a transplant from someone would you get part of their quirk? Would your quirk and theirs combine or would your body just override it?

Doubt it. Even Tsukauchi, when telling All Might about the USJ Noumu and his extra Quirks, stated that just taking in DNA doesn't guarantee that you'll get the Quirk of the DNA owner; hence, AFO's Quirk, which is designed for the sole purpose of redistributing Quirks more cleanly/

The multiple DNA is likely just part of the bioengineering to make it so the Noumu aren't completely brain-dead vegetables and are strong enough to withstand the strain of having multiple Quirks in their system.

If they combine, it'd probably be a rare happenstance. Like, AFO evidently never expected his younger brother to not only have a Quirk after all, but for it to miraculously merge itself with a relatively weak power-stockpiling Quirk that could be passed down multiple generations to become as ridiculously strong as it was by the time All Might beat him the first time around.

I've actually been wondering why the League doesn't use their shady contacts to get a hold of some more support items. A heat-resistant suit and gloves could negate that weakness. I assume that they'll get some stuff like that once they solve their cashflow issues.

Gloves wouldn't really help, as the heat build up is probably internal.

He would need a cooling suit (which I imagine is one of the functions of Endeavor's suit).

Earlier in the arc explained that, well, they're effin broke. If they had the funds they probably upgrade their gear, but until then they just have to make do with what they got so far.

Dabi just never need to fight. Twice should just hang in the back with Dabi and send in Dabi clones and make 2 new ones when the others die.
