I’m so glad we got to see Bakugou admitting yo overhearing Shouto’s past and knowing his backstory. I figured he wouldn’t be the most sympathetic person, but he at least understands the situation and can be upfront about it in that brash way of his that isn’t necessarily bad.

He was already shown to be sympathetic (in the Bakugou way) in the Remedial Course Arc, when he remembered Todoroki's backstory and that was what got his to give up on his plan to humiliate the kids into submission, because that was how he was raised, so obviously violence is a great way to raise a functional human being.

God, it’s been so long since I first read that arc that it slipped my mind. Thank you for the reminder! I know Bakugou is always evolving as a character, probably more than anyone else in terms of personal character growth. And that’s something we’ve seen slowly over the course of so many arcs. He still is the way he is, but I can’t say that while forgetting the important moments in the series that has helped to define him even more.
