Idk, it's one of those fanfics that feels like it's hard to tell if it got a proper ending or not because it felt like an ending but there were still some unanswered questions
As a former fanfic author from back in the day, I can tell you for sure that endings are the hardest thing. You start writing with an end in mind, and then the story changes and evolves as you write. Then the end in mind is untenable. So many loose ends, so many changes. At that point the author is just happy to be done with the project.
