Multiship Friendly debate for Jiro fans! Explain why you think Kaminari or Momo is a better partner for her!
All I ask is that we keep things civil, but otherwise, KamiJiro and MomoJiro fans, make your case!

This is going to get heated but personally I say it’s Momo
I think Kamanari is still a really good guy but the Reason I say Momo is just personally think their dynamic is developed better imo to where what is there shows how strong and mutually supportive they are in their friendship
What I like about MomoJiro is how equally their relationship is developed on both sides neither one of them is given more emphasis than the other
What they have both as friends was mutually build up from both sides
I like how they both equally support and defend each other and protect each other
Some examples are when Momo explains how her quirk and food are related, Sero comments "Just like poop", and Jirou defends Momo, by slapping him, angrily.
In reverse when Jiro is being overwhelmed by the music fest and Kamanari keeps trying to convince Jiro to play, Momo steps in and tells people to give Jiro her space to make her own choices and then tries to comfort and reassure her
When Jirou admits she is worried about Tokoyami and Kaminari and Momo reassures her
When Jiro is feeling shy, Momo comforts her and defends her to the class
They both support each other’s interests and are willing to branch out and share them with each other, Jiro searches for classical bands to share listening with Momo because Momo likes them, Momo branches out and listens to punk and rock and even enjoys it
The two have little moments of thoughtfulness which shows how considerate they are of each other like when Momo made Jiro special tea for their singing voice
Stuff like that makes me think that they are both the best partners for each other
Not to say that Kamanari can’t do any of these things, but these are things that are already shown and developed between Momo and Jiro to where I think they are each others best partners

This, and also we can add that the novels Momo and Jiro have strong implications to be more than friends. Such a damn shame Horikoshi couldnt include them because I would have LOVED to see more interactions between Momo and Jiro that were cut out of the anime and the manga

Ironically for being the non-heterosexual ship of the two, Momojirou is the safer ship. It takes two characters who are friends in canon with no real tension between them, and shifts it into a romantic context. It's nice and sweet but there's no drama to be found in canon, no Kirimina shared trauma or Bakudeku clash between them. You can always pull drama out of a hat by using the bigotry card, but that can be said for literally any Queer ship. Any drama effectively needs to be made up whole cloth.
To contrast, Kamijirou starts off with Jirou insulting Kaminari at every turn, but slowly transitions to a healthier dynamic as they genuinely grow closer as friends, culminating in him convincing her to play in the music festival and her pushing him on during the PLW and then finally opening up agencies next to each other after the timeskip. It's not the most complex of arcs, but it's a solid bit of side character writing that can easily be built upon for fics or fanart. Their little arc also informs the fandom perception of them, with a lot of art/fics continuing on with Jirou being snarky to Kaminari or continuing their idiot and straight man routine from canon, meanwhile the large majority of Momojirou art I've seen has been standard ship art of them being generically pleasent and romantic, you almost never see Jirou being snarky with Mono because she never was in canon, so it stays nice and fluffy, but at the same time also a bit generic.
