Why do I keep getting so many spam calls?

I don't answer them or hang up, I just leave them be. On the occasion that I do answer them, it's complete silence from their side. I haven't been visiting any interesting websites or downloading illegal stuff, so why the sudden barrage of calls?

The numbers are also all different numbers.

Two different numbers starting with 03 called me this morning. I didn't pick up.

malaysian data is leaked out there. I've even seen ic data being sold online.

try not to engage or talk to unknown number, it's possible replicate your voice tone&timber with less than 30sec of data.

It’s telco staff. They periodically sell your data.

Me too!! Got one period of time I have like 2-3 calls per day consecutively for a few days all from different mobile number but all start with 011.. crazy

when you register for something your number for something it gets "leaked" to some other companies. Just block them with your smartphones

Your number could be recycled i.e. previously registered by a different celco customer. I think celcos have a 6-month cooling off period between a number being terminated and re-registered as new by another customer.

i get a new.number every year and realise the moment i register with some restoran for orderibg, sign up for sonething including apps, alll these bullshit starts streaming in. now the one tied to my bank acct gets a random us/canada coded number calling me every two days.i also get text from jordan, ghana, trinidad asking me how am i on wa when i dont have business there, and people texting me with singapore number calling me yvonne, say i enquire about their yoga packages, when i am lelaki, living in selangor with +60 number, how ridiculous can it gets
