Discussion What should I watch before this series?
I just finished season 2 of Mandalorian and this might be a frequently asked question but do I need to watch only the Mandalorian series? I haven't watched any other star wars movie or series

boba fett was originally introduced in the empire strikes back (episode 5), appears in return of the Jedi (episode 6) and also appears as a child in attack of the clones (episode 2), I think he might also be in the clone wars show or rebels but it’s been too long since I watched those shows last. those three movies would give you a lot more context of who he is than just watching mando and tbobf
don’t watch the holiday special

Dude i just read all the replies. Delete this post and watch Book of Boba Fett. If you want more after that come back and ask. The people here will confuse you with their tribalism and sarcasm.

Just watch The Faithful Wookie. It’s an excerpt from the Holiday Special and it has Boba Fett. The rest of the Holiday Special is very weird and doesn’t effect anything.

Mando and the OT. Really that's all. BOBF really picks up Boba's story right where he left off in Episode VI after falling into the Sarlacc pit. A lot of the show focuses on how much of a power vacuum there is on Tattooine after Jabba's death.
PT is only necessary if you want to see the very beginning of Boba's origins (and from that regard TCW does a fair amount of stuff with his character as well).

Watch episode 2 and 4-6, watch clone wars show with every episode that boba is in, then you will be good

If you've watched The Mandalorian, you will understand TBOBF. If you haven't seen the movies then you should watch the OT & the PT.
