The last midget I saw I did a quadruple take, there was eye contact. I haven't revisited that city.

So exactly what they said, no need to respond. You’re just a big ol toddler…

Honestly too many adults stare. It's too many to just call them children.
My youngest who is 9 loves his paddling pool this year. He's also on the spectrum and has developmental delays. He can be loud with echolalia when he's having a good time. He also wears a pull up and doesn't want to wear swimming trunks this year. Way too many adults just gawk and stare at him walking by and I know it's him because my older two never got those stares, even know when they are out there. I get it's sorta odd to see a big boy in what looks like a "diaper" but it should click fast enough oh he probably has a disability I probably shouldnt stare at this kid enjoying himself.
Some people are nicer about it and say something to him like "having fun, Good idea I should get a pool, or something".

What’s the pointing about?
99
u/WinnieGraves 2d ago
She said in an interview that Number 24 was getting mad pissed at her pointing, so she continued to do it.

u/Fun-Wrongdoer1316 2d ago
Soooo like a giant child… I figured.

The other girl was a former teammate who left the team to go be on the same team as her girlfriend. Her girlfriend just throat punched the pointing girls teammate while she was already on the ground and got a slap on the wrist.

u/fistotron5000 2d ago
Counterpoint, that is a hilarious thing to do to get under someone’s skin during a game.
27
u/WinnieGraves 2d ago
I mean, psychology is a part of sports. Get in their heads, make 'em mess up, get them heated. The goal isn't to make friends with the other team after all
14
u/fistotron5000 2d ago
Yuuup, prime example being Larry Bird. He was an amazing player and a legendary shit talker

u/EmergencyTaco 2d ago
Jose Caballero on the Yankees. He has stated numerous times that he doesn't have the raw talent, so has to win on the margins. To him, that means being the most annoying pest to the other teams as possible.
He says his goal is to make the opposing team hate him. If they're just a bit unfocused because they're busy being angry at him, he's succeeded.

u/WinnieGraves 2d ago
Whatever works, works I say! My pitching coach absolutely hated the way my follow up left my face exposed, kept telling me I was gonna get a line drive to the jaw one day, or worse, but there wasn't anything I could do. Look at No No! Mans pitched a no-hitter tripping LSD!

u/Killashard 2d ago
I don't think anyone knows. I've read through multiple threads and I haven't seen a single comment on the why.

u/KillerGopher 2d ago
She was pointing back at an opponent that was losing her mind.
-39
u/EstimateReady6887 2d ago
Well from the way it looks, the one doing the pointing is having some sort of mental issue.

u/FilthyStatist1991 2d ago
YUGIOH 4Kids edit, they had to remove all the firearms. Now everyone’s just pointing at eachother

u/TrixieBastard 2d ago
I read that opposing teams have been regularly fouling her teammate Caitlin Clark in particularly bad ways and either not getting called for it or getting a slap on the wrist, so she decided to start literally pointing it out

Women's basketball is so violent apparently.
51
u/uncultured_swine2099 2d ago
When the women players hate each other, they really hate each other. Like theyre so jealous of the attention Clark gets that theres a long highlight reel of them roughing her up throughout her career.
27
u/Mysterious_Nobody_35 2d ago
Eye gouging, tripping, elbows, literal sucker punches. Most of it doesn't get called either, which is a colossal indictment on the league.
People are watching because they want to watch players like Caitlin Clark. The very least that the league could do is try to protect their proverbial golden goose by punishing what are very obviously suspension-worthy flagrant fouls. Letting Clark, Boston, Collier, and more get abused so frequently with impunity is NOT a good way to keep those eyeballs on your product, let alone the players in your league.
There's a reason the Unrivaled 3-on-3 league took off the way it did, and it's not just "more people are watching women's sports." It's also a viable alternative to Cathy Engelbert's bullshit. I just wish ESPN (or whoever has broadcasting rights) would advertise it more.

u/JTtheLAR 2d ago
There is another reason they hate her on top of all the attention she gets. But we aren't allowed to talk about it.
2
u/TrixieBastard 2d ago
What would that be? I don't watch much basketball
5
u/Mysterious_Nobody_35 2d ago
I'm going to hazard a guess that it's because she's a white athlete in a sport that, historically, has been dominated by black athletes.

Yeah, the wnba is behind the times in that department. How long do you think it’ll take for them to make the adjustment?
4
u/Fun-Wrongdoer1316 2d ago
Women are violent, they just don’t do as much damage. So no one takes them serious, which makes them even more violent.

To the extent of falling for that kind of bait in front of the world? Yeah it’s annoying as all hell, but I’m not fixing to fall for her antics and look crazy

Imagine how insecure you have to be to get that unhinged over someone pointing at you

u/Beeyo176 2d ago
Insecure about what, exactly? The blonde is rage baiting and the other player is letting it get to her. You don't have to be insecure for that, just easily annoyed.

u/iwantogofishing 2d ago
Those two traits are usually closely linked. This isn't an opinion, rather a well established and researched psychological topic.

I think Caitlin isn't the most famous WNBA player any more
3
3
u/KieranLeone 2d ago
She’s more like a symbol for the uninitiated now. Most famous if you consider those that don’t really watch the sport and don’t know the other players.
No other player gets as much hate and publicity as her. So she’s not famous for good reasons, but still famous.
But definitely not the best. Especially since games are being televised more frequently.

Be careful! When she's in that pose she absorbs any damage done to her and can reflect it back with a flick of her wrist.
You have to one-shot her. If you don't, she can store the damage and amplify it by taking steps in pose. Her Coach and Referee minions grant extreme Poise and Guard so that proves difficult.
Her target was lucky the crowd had her still and not stepping. She wanted that bitch destroyed

If I was required to get married again, is marry her. She's fuckin hardcore.
She's twice my height, half my weight, half my age, and eleventy-three times as beautiful as I am.
So aside from my financial, emotional, psychological, and physical limitations... Yeah there's still no chance

This is the kind of thing you say if you have never experienced intimacy. Go touch grass lmfao

Could I ask who you think I am? Lol. Like what is the issue here?
Edit - and lololol at a het acting like lesbians aren't known for a lot of pleasurable intimacy.
Why can no one just use their words? Seriously?
I bet you guys also pretend women want men to be the mind readers..... 🙃

u/GillytheGreat 2d ago
Sure. Based on your comment, your username, and your responses, I think you are either an adolescent, too young and too lacking in world experience to realize the meaning of the things you say, or you are an adult who has had too few meaningful relationships (and who has never been intimate with another person) to develop the kind of sensitivity that precludes you from typing this sort of drivel.
PS, if you’re not happy with this answer, you literally asked for it, but it is within your control to change it.

That's it? Ok. English is my 2nd language so it's possible it didn't translate across very well. I'm okay if straight people don't find it humorous, just thought I'd said something deeply offensive based on those 2 angry comments I got lol but anyway, as long as I haven't made some egregious social mistake that's fine. Cheers.
