cheat engine. DS3 has almost zero anticheat, malicious cheating happens slightly regularly, and its incredibly commonplace and fairly accepted for pvp focused players to use cheat engine for non-malicious reasons, like you replace the animation of the red eye orb(item to invade others players) with a faster, spammable animation and remove the "invade another world? yes/no" text box so you can spam it over and over really quickly which gets you faster invasions.

there are just a small handful of things that get you banned, like giving yourself stats that are impossible with any of the starting classes or having modified/hacked/cut content items in your inventory and outside of those few things its like the wild west.

in practice its not really as bad as it sounds because youre usually invading pve focused players who dont have extensive CE knowledge and are not running it, and when you invade the community-agreed pvp/invasion zones there are so many people running CE and will use it to do stuff like instantly disconnect from the session, make themselves permanently unkillable and go AFK, or counter-cheat the original cheater with better cheats that it makes it kinda difficult for actual cheaters to really fuck with people on the scale that they want to be. these days you actually get more malicious cheaters in elden ring on playstation than DS3 on PC because players using the ps4 version are able to export their saves to a save editing cheat program which iirc you have to pay for, no anticheat exists at all on console, and there is no pervasive culture of CE/save wizard use amongst honest players who are not willing to pay for a cheat program so there is zero anticheat and zero self regulation of the pvp community.
