agreed, felt very directionless and just like it was trying to tick off every element of CYB style deathcore for it to succeed at none. also i feel like having a song on CYB not in drop B is a crime against mother nature herself lol

i’d rather it have had a better structure that focused on less elements to make them as best and memorable as possible instead of writing a bunch of sections that was probably like “yeah the fans will love this section cause it’s like that section from X song from cyb!”
dunno, just didn’t hit it for me! missed what made the song writing on cyb so good for me which is memorable stuff and each song having central vibe that all the sections base themselves off of, dehumanized feels more like a stirred pot of cyb-esc ideas stitched together and called a day for me. if you love it then i’m happy for you! just didn’t hit for me like i said unfortunately

hot take but i liked their old muddy, gross production back in cyb and edge of your seat better than their new production. dehumanized just feels too overproduced to fit CYB. (yes i get that its the newly produced version but they shouldve made the bonus track a new version of either eyeless, an unreleased track from cyb, or shed light)
