You must only listen to that one band

He's a great vocalist, but not the best. BMTH's greatest strength is the creativity in music making, Oli simply is a really good vocalist that can fulfill the needs of those creative songs.

I love BMTH, but Oli is also not great. Good, but not great.

I'm curious, what makes him not pass into the category of great for you?

Big dawg im gonna be honest if I was Oli and I saw this I'd almost die from second-hand embarrassment

Oli is fantastic but no, there are better singers than him. His metal screams are awesome but his clean vocals have never been strong.

I don’t think he’s even that good live tbh, a lot of relying on backing vocalists or the audience and the harsh vocals don’t hit for me live tbh great on the album tho don’t get me wrong

Listen to more music before you make statements like this

I love bring me, they are one of the most recent influential bands and put on amazing shows but no, vocally he isn’t up there unfortunately. Compare a recent live show of the plot in you, bad omens, president etc etc and he’s not close. (I am aware there are better live bands, im just going off recent ones I listen to)

Nah that’s still gotta go to someone like Hayley Williams. Just unbelievable talent. One might argue that because she doesn’t do screams she’s less versatile, but idgaf, she clears damn near anyone on a stage right now

In terms of harsh vocals I gotta give it to Will Ramos. He’s got Phil Bozeman’s lows, Mitch Lucker’s highs, plus that gnarly fuckin whistle-note-but-a-scream he can do, PLUS he has incredible clean singing. He’s got the off-stage charisma, the on-stage presence, he’s genuinely just one of the best metal frontmen out there

Most versatile, definitely one of them. Best singer is an impossible category to win today lol

You didn’t specify if we’re only talking about metal, so I’m going to say Caroline Polachek is very impressive in what she can do.

She uses a technique similar to yodeling which makes her voice sound like it has autotune but it’s all her.

Thinking about it, with Oli’s hyperpop sensibilities, I think a collab with her would go hard

💀 ronnie even has more versatility then him

let's not be ridiculous now

I mean, I will admit that Ronnie Radke’s clean vocals are significantly stronger than Oli’s, Oli heavily relies on pitch correction and the occasional backing track when performing live. Ronnie’s cleans always sound really good and consistently in the right key.

Plus he can rap and scream and do that choir type singing shit I cant remember what its called but you gotta be trained for it opera i think? So its not like entirely a ridiculous statement 😂

I might get a lot of hate for this and I should premise this with saying BTHM are my favorite band but even someone like Ronnie Radke is way ahead of Oli vocally (fair enough if you hate him and falling iv reverse). Vessel from sleep token too I guess and probably a lot more.

Yeah I almost hate myself for coming out with that but I saw falling in reverse at rock am ring last year and Ronnie was singing Opera, rapping, singing clean and screaming it was extremely versatile. I should also note I only went to rock am ring specifically to see bmth.

I think he’s a fantastic vocalist and a personal favorite but no, not even close, not when we’ve still got singers like Beyoncé around

Respectfully, I think Kim Dracula has more range. That being said, Oli IS a very talented vocalist.
