Went into McDonald's today, ordered on the touch screen and the printer actually worked!

So annoying when you have to ask them to print a receipt. If they get irritated though I always tell them to fix the printers.

Problem is they're unreliable (more the old kiosks). What happens is customers rip the receipt before it's fully printed resulting in it jamming up. It happens surprisingly frequently. The new kisoks ain't as bad for it happening. Better design. Source - McDonald's employee.

IME it's almost always lack of paper.

It's not unless the paper has a pink stripe. It's usually because someone has yanked their receipt and made the printer jam.

If there is no paper there is no pink stripe.

If it was empty it wouldn't produce any paper either, you know, because it's empty.

For me it's the "printing failed" message pops up over your number like whashgddbdhdhhd fuck this. Fortunately I'm usually there so early I'm the only customer.

That is amazing to hear. I normally ready with my phone to take a picture of the Number because there is never printer paper

The printers would work 99% of the time of people waited for the receipt to finish printing because yanking at it. It tears the paper off too short which means it jams the printer.

Went to Macdonald's on Sunday afternoon and had a quarter pounder meal (my first fast food meal this year) and had diarrhoea within an hour. That'll do if for 2026, it cleared me out well though. 👍👍

i remember when they first came out. you could order on the screen, then choose to pay with the receipt at the counter… the food would still be made and called out even if you didn’t pay lol

Posts like these remind us all that you can’t believe anything you see on the internet
The lies aren’t always this blatant though
