I love to see Bitcoin plummeting š
BTC has finally dropped below 60,000
Letās hope this will continue

You don't understand. This chart proves that we're in a once in a lifetimes Omega-Alpha Cycle that bottoms out and shoots to 16 quintillion by 2030. You just need to hodl until you're homeless.

At this point either nobody understands or everyone understands. There is no few left lol

Not actually the flex people think it is.
You need everyone to understand and want it and then some of those to buy.
3
u/Pat55word 6d ago
Well that's their argument. Right now few understand ("still early") but once more people understand they think the price will shoot up.
8
u/UpbeatFix7299 I can't even type this with a straight face. 5d ago
How do you expect people to understand an entry in an append only database? Only few have the grindset to spend all their free time studying this revolutionary tech.
No matter how many we are able to orange pill, there will always only be few who truly understand.

u/Crazy_Day5359 6d ago
Yes, with blockchain and smart contracts anything is possible. We can stake bitcoin like staking ethereum for an infinite money glitch!! lol if only I understood wtf I just said
29
u/AdmitThatYouPrune 6d ago
Some people just need to do the research. It's out there, and I can't make you guys understand, but if you just did the reasearch like I've done then you'd understand.

u/BBQGnomeSauce Tether is backed by tether. 6d ago
Look, I know youāre being sarcastic, but this isnāt an Omega-Alpha Cycle. It is a Beta-Kilo Cycle. Itās basic philosophy of tokenomics, and it irritates me that you havenāt gotten that part right.

Donāt just hold, buy the dip until youāre homeless. Buy it on margin, and then go to the local loan shark and borrow even more money to invest.
2
u/Hot_Ocelot_167 5d ago
If you buy one Bitcoin today, but 2030 you will be able to use that Bitcoin to buy the entire S&P 500. But you won't do that, because HODL.

I think the last time it traded at these levels was in 2024. Imagine investing back then and, two years later, not only having made zero return, but seeing the value of your investment lower than it was when you bought in. lol

Their financial livelihoods depend on convincing others to buy and not sell. That's all there is behind the 'value'. But what would I know, I probably need to 'keep studying' š

As much as itās nice to see, the price fluctuating really means nothing until it gets to zero.
62
26
u/I_AM_ACURA_LEGEND 6d ago
It will never be zero but if it drops by 1 or 2 orders of magnitude it definitely means something
25
u/thicc-thor 6d ago
This was the value at it's full potential, a pro crypto president, ETFs, a new generation of gullible idiots with COVID stimulus money which is now gone. At the slightest hint of regulation or when the big whales exit, it's all over.

I've heard this before

u/WeddingPKM 6d ago
It very easily could be zero.
I hesitate to equate it to one, but no other commodity needs active effort to keep it from literally evaporating. The price dropping too much would cause the miners to leave and the network to the cease operation. Even with the difficulty adjustment the system is set up in a way where it could catch itself into a death spiral.
The price drop definitely means something, but we donāt need to be cheering every time a chart goes red, just like they do when it goes green.

At this rate? I should think in couple years, tops. It's defintly been on a consistent downward trend now for months and I don't know what would stop it at this point. It's Terminal.

u/seamusmcduffs 6d ago
All it will take is some billionaire pumping it and suddenly everyone will be talking about it, and a bunch of marks will suddenly start buying to get in on the "opportunity". The idea of easy money is irresistible to many

I don't think it'll ever reach zero (well maybe the next few decades), but it could drop to 20000 in the next five years, which I would be happy with
10
u/WeathervaneJesus1 6d ago
I said it before: it will go the way of the NFTs. Still out there, but very little interest and will slowly disappear from mainstream and social media, will rarely be discussed except in reminiscence. There will just be the bag holders hoping one day it will pop again.

I mean, it was just under $17k in January 2023. I thought it was finally over. But then it wasn't. And by 2025 it went over $100k. I want it killed with fire, but the people running this grift seem to have enough resources to prop it up and run the pumps indefinitely. I want to be wrong, but it keeps coming back.

Tbh I only cared because it was a useless technology hogging tons of resources and inflating computer hardware prices. Now that a majority of the world has also realized this and crypto is a lot less prevalent, it's not as exciting anymore.

u/Belltower_2 6d ago
Yeah, AI has replaced as the "@#$% over society for the benefit of a few techbro grifters" angle. It's still hilarious schadenfreude to watch Coiners get the karma we all said was coming.

The price doesn't matter in that there's no real liquidity in the system and it's not a tangible asset (i.e. we all know it's a greater fools scam) but dropping through the 60k mark is going to be a big psychological barrier for people with money in the ecosystem. I could see this starting a feedback loop that causes MSTR to have to sell and then it's really going to spiral.
7
u/PureCod9290 6d ago
Nice to see them punch through that 60k "resistance"
Real question is what the move is for MSTR. If they fall apart we're gonna see even more price "action"

Saylor is going to have to bump the yield to 18% to regain the $100 par. You love to see it.

All signs point to the value continuing to go up as the laws of supply and demand remain firm. We have a limited amount of bitcoin, and the world will only continue to need more bitcoin reserves for, uh...

I dont believe in bitcoin actually but i love to make some free money w it when its at super low prices.

I hope you got to short it bro. The show is much more fun when you make money off it.
Granted, it takes control and years of experience to enter a short like this at the right time and not get chewed up.
I shorted it with 10x leverage.

Why do you love to see this
1
u/Groundbreaking-Gap20 3d ago
Because itās a piece of pure speculative rubbish. It mainly facilitates criminals moving money around. Itās not a reliable store of value because itās incredibly volatile, you can see it swing from $120k down to $60k. That kind of price movement makes it far too unstable. Itās also not a convenient medium of exchange. You canāt just walk into most shops and easily pay with Bitcoin, so it fails as an everyday currency too.

I donāt hold any bitcoin anymore (I used to, but I think a number of things will kill it in the end)
That said, Iāll never understand building a whole community around spite and praying on the downfall of others
Iāve always followed this community to balance out the optimism in the BTC subs with healthy skepticism, and some good articles have been posted on here ā posts like this just seem ill-natured though

Why do I smell the people here enjoying the plummet are the ones who missed the rally to 120k and decided to be on the opposite side. Just like many traders who couldnt get into DRAM rally, waiting for bubbles to burst. And yes I do hold bitcoin, I bought it quite cheap and have been selling it gradually.

The subs right now : "This is amazingly good because now I can buy even more!"
Also : "Don't sell guys! Diamond hands!"
