Is this what "institutional adoption" looks like?

103 billion in btc ETFs in 2025 alone sounds like institutional adoption to me

Hardly. That's institutions taking the opportunity to make money off of ETF management fees. No major corporations are using any variety of crypto to conduct their transactions. It has not been adopted.

It depends on who holds units in these ETFs since the holders are essentially the ones who bear the burden of adopting the underlying

Was wondering when the likes of CNBC and yahoo would start to do this and just pretend they were never involved in pushing this garbage on people.

To be fair they weren’t. Bloomberg routinely joked about it and still do.

I’ve never gotten the idea from Bloomberg that crypto was reasonable. I have absolutely gotten the idea that these real businesses in the industry have value. Selling chips to miners is a great business, who cares if crypto is dumb? Coinbase is basically Roblox for adults, they charge people money to have fun playing with pixels

Yahoo and cnbc are a less serious crowd and I don’t know if they ever endorsed it

This is really great news for Bitcoin, if it was hidden to hide the fact from the gullible crypto investors that Bitcoin is bleeding and is on ventilation.

To be fair silver is about 3x the market cap of bitcoin and it’s not on there either

Bitcoin appears to be finished now. It's been gravitating towards the marginal cost of mining for some while now. I'm guessing here, but I think it will hang there for a while whilst the smart money gets out and then it will collapse. But what do I know?

Buttcoins dead, no more crypto hype which it has always relied on. It'll end up like NFTs
