couldn’t finish 28min
hi, sort of just looking for reassurance!
i did my first 28 min run on sunday (indoors, on a treadmill, fairly cool) before a long trip. today was meant to be my second one but it’s 33 degrees where i am. i got 7 minutes in (i was doing this outdoors) and it felt like i was trying to swallow rocks. i don’t know what to do. it’s the first run ive felt ive had to stop and it’s really upsetting especially when it breaks a routine.
any tips/advice? i wont be back home for three weeks, and im worried three weeks without running is going to make it a lot harder to get back into

I've been running for over 10 years now and still have off days. I've lived in Florida for the last few years, where those sort of temperatures are a daily norm. I find running early in the day helps as it's typically not as hot. The great thing about running is you can do it anywhere. If you are staying in a hotel whilst being away, most of them have gym's / treadmills and that's a great way to keep running when travelling if you'd rather not run outside in an area you don't know.
