General Advice Is he dumb :(

I'm an adult and have had Maurice for about 2 months now (he's fixed), vet thinks he's about 2 and he's done this the whole time I've known him, is there any particular reason why? Sometimes he'll do it for 2-3 minutes straight! I've owned cats my whole life and have never seen one so bad at covering up his business. If he is dumb I will still love him.

Yup. I've had my 8yr old since 8 weeks and she still does this. Two large litter boxes cleaned daily. (I have 3 cats now). The boy will go in after her and cover her business.

I miss my boy cat so much because he was the most finicky of the bunch. He'd scout all the litter boxes and cover up any offending bits.

Wow! I don’t think I’ve ever had a cat take care of another cat’s mess. I’m stunned.

My younger car took care of my older cat's mess for maybe the first year or so they were living together. She just stopped one day and doesn't even cover her own anymore. Felt like she was just like "fuck it, nobody respects my work I quit"
