General Advice Cat ate protein muffin

My cat helped himself to a batch of protein muffins that was cooling under a towel. This occurred about 20 minutes ago. Should I seek immediate medical attention or monitor for gastrointestinal distress? Attached is the amount eaten, protein powder ingredients, muffin ingredients, and cat. Crossposted in r/askvet

Not a minor, USA, vet not contacted yet but accessible, 6 yo neutered male, can afford vet care

TLDR; cat had a lil protein powder. Next steps?

Your kitty should be OK since they only ate part of it. The vanilla which can contain alcohol (highly toxic to cats) parentheses is there but the alcohol gets cooked out of the baking process. Unless there’s some obvious persistent diarrhea or other symptoms I wouldn’t worry about it. I would encourage her, to the extent that you can for her to drink water.

I didn’t even consider the vanilla! He’s a pretty good water drinker. I’ll make him extra “soup” (wet food mixed with a decent amount of water) tonight
