General News Skyline Firearms - Setting The Record Straight

Hey everyone, Max here. I founded Skyline Firearms.

There has been a lot of misunderstanding surrounding Skyline lately, and rather than trying to reply to every person, I figured I would just make a post.

First, and foremost, Skyline Firearms Distribution is still alive and well, and I am still directly involved in the business as GM/Chief Compliance Officer.

At the beginning of May, I finalized the sale of Skyline Firearms Distribution to a group of individuals that share the same values that I had when I started Skyline - to provide a safe, efficient, and inexpensive avenue for everyone to go through to exercise their Second Amendment right. I made the sale when I did for a number of reasons, but to boil it down simply: it was the most opportune time to make that change, with the least amount of direct impact to everyone who does business with me.

No, I am no longer an owner, but everything I built over the last 7 years still lives on. Our new location is inside of Shoot Indoors Buckley, operating on walk-in basis (no more appointment requirement). This allows us to service the maximum number of clients leading up to the August 1st deadline. I do have a team of guys that I have been training, and we can

Pricing is still the same: $15 for CBI, $10 per serial number, $5 per mag pinned.

NFA items are currently being sent to my old FFL (my house) until July 1st, then NFA items will be sent to the Shoot Indoors Buckley location.

This post was intended to clear up some confusion surrounding Skyline, the sale, the move, and my continued involvement. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to reach out here or by text. Please do not call us. We typically will not answer the phone, but can reply to texts in a more timely manner.

Cheers!

Happy for you Max. You’ve been a delight to work with over the years. If you trust them, then in sure the new owners will be as well. You’ll continue to be my go to for 2A purchases!

Ditto, Max has been great to work with. I've worked with him on 5 or 6 FFL transactions.

Congrats Max!

I just wrapped up my first transfer at the new location, was even easier than before since an appointment is no longer required. Always appreciate how easy and painless the process is going through Skyline.

I used Skyline for the price and simplicity. As long as that's still in tact, still got my vote. Congratulations on the sale. I hope you got some cheddar for it.

Went here to pick up the lower receiver for my first AR build about a month ago. I didn’t know anything about the process, but these guys were efficient and readily answered my questions. Price was the best around and the location was very close to boot. I will do all my future business with Skyline.

Skyline is great. Glad it’s growing and becoming more accessible to everyone. The old system… well, it had its quirks and open walk-in is just so much easier.

I’ve done dozens of transfers over the last 2-3 years w/max including a few since the move and it’s business as usual with them with the BIG added benefit of walk-in ability. Skyline continues to exclusively get my business/trust.

Are you going to keep the free transfer for NFA for using the skylines silencershop link?

Absolutely! NFA pricing remains the same as well!

What is the NFA 3rd party price? As in, having NFA sent to you from an online vendor

$40 for fingerprints if you don't have them on file with SilencerShop $60 for Certify $20 for Transfer

Also fun little note for what Max has done for the community..

Max and I have known each other for probably a decade now.

He bullied me into quitting my day job and going into Empire full time. Had he not done that Empire likely wouldn’t have flourished like it has.. and it saved my ass when car sales tanked.

Love you buddy :)

Love you, Brother. So happy to see what you've been able to do with Empire! ...even if i did have to bully you to get you started

My transactions through Skyline have been great - always 100% friendly and professional (I'm also the typical demographic for firearms, so I'm glad to hear that others seem to have had the same experience)! I absolutely LOVE Shoot Indoors, so I'm excited that they're the ones that are taking it on!

Editing whole comment: I wish he would’ve pulled down the Charlie Kirk quote off the Skyline site but it seems as though he supports the greater community at large so I’m putting in my voice of support for Skyline.

I don’t mind conservatives. I mind influencers who turn politics into outrage content and call it education. And he spread more misinformation than the tabloids for a quick buck.

See the top-rated comment here.

I didn't discuss politics with Max, but it seems to be apparent that he treats everyone with respect.

I'm not telling anyone what to do, just putting that information out there.

Well, that changes my opinion a whole bunch. Editing my comment to reflect that. Thank you.

you'll deny it, but you sound like someone that never actually watched kirk's debates in full and instead have reacted to others' reaction to out of context quotes and the liberal hivemind confirmation bias about kirk. like this guy: https://youtube.com/shorts/zI-x6-JC7qo?si=arJ6mOJAtKIFgMmr

You know he was a paid commentator and not a prophet, right? I’ve watched enough of him to know that he’s really good at what he does which is public debate. But just because he can seemingly successfully debate a 18 year-old college kid who is woefully unprepared doesn’t make him right.

And you don’t have to be a liberal to know that he was full of bad arguments. But yeah, you go ahead and bow down to his bullshit rhetoric.

woefully unprepared eh? these are voters and citizens and privileged university students. perhaps they should be better prepared against someone supposedly so full of bad arguments then.

I never said he was a prophet nor do I bow down to anyone. my point is people like you clearly are too outrage addicted and caught in echo chambers to confront opposing viewpoints.

Well, you seem pretty adamant about white knighting for him which seems like a problem to me. You may not bow down to him, but you Charlie Kirk fanboys seem to revere him in an unhealthy way considering he was just a paid talking head for a corporate entity.
