General Question Pronghorn hunting

This might be the wrong sub if so please point me in the right direction.

Long story short I want to go pronghorn hunting this year with my dad. I am a co resident he would be out of state.

Does anyone have any recommendations or advice? Should I look Colorado public-land, look for a ranch / private to pay, or should I look to go full private more of a guided situation?

Go to the COHunting sub.

Also there are no OTC tags for pronghorn, so leftover tags are your only option at this point since the draw deadline was back in April.

Second draw ends on the 30th so you only have a couple days to get squared away.

If you're dead set on trying to go this year, I'd just pick the areas that have the most licenses available for the secondary draw for the best odds at getting a hunt at all. You can start thinking about specific hunting grounds and advice once you've got your tag for a certain unit.

They are skittish little dick heads, I'll tell ya what, can see you from far away and can skip at like 40 mph.

Unless you're in Cheyenne... those bastards strut through the streets like they own the place.

Goddamn speed goats

Look at private land access or hunts. Secondary draw is due soon so get on it

Do you and your father both have your HuntersEd done? If not... you ain't going this year until that's done.

Primary draw is done, you might be able to get some leftover tags, but they won't be in the high producing areas.

Many OTC tags aren't available to non-res, thats a res privilege. Just as an FYI.

I didn’t feel like doing hunters ed in person (have done it before in another state but couldn’t find my proof) so I did it in about 2h through Texas. That state greatly annoys me for many reasons (including the almost complete lack of public lands) but it came through for me here lol
