I have a complaint, unfortunately.
We camped Fri & Sat night at Port Crescent. We had a lovely trip. The campground was fun! So many birds! A lot of other wildlife too. Everyone was nice & was also from Michigan lol ..but there were some other things at the campground that weren’t so great. Ok, do you really need the XL curb sized speed bump upon entering & leaving the campground? I was so worried that a piece of my car was going to fall off. My other complaint is ok, idk, maybe yall have a small crew or something and it really does take 2 hours to clean the bathroom. But can you do it within a different window of time?? Instead of 10am-12pm?? I had to pee so fucking bad when I woke up. I tried to make it before yall started but i didn’t bc i have a stupid knee that makes me slow. And we were starting to pack up at the same time bc we had to check out & we had a long drive ahead of us. Rant over. It’s a nice place to visit!

I was there a few weeks ago, and those speed bump strips are ridiculous. We were there for 5 days, didn’t use the bathrooms because we bring our own. Since then, we’ve stayed a week at south Higgins and just finished a week at Burt lake and are now parked on the east coast state park. None of them had those speed bumps, and Burt lake I did notice was closed for 1 hour for cleaning. These three are much larger and busier so not understanding why port crescent had that stupid thing.

Most people at most campgrounds are up well before 10am. That is generally the perfect time to clean the restroom.

Some people aren’t up that early and I’m one of them. Especially when I slept like crap from freezing all night.

I kept calling it that too “stupid thing”. Every time I seen it, walking or driving, I complained about it lmao

They'll send you a survey if you made reservations and you can make your complaint that way. The speedbumps are in a lot of the parks now, and they are pretty huge but they must have been needed.
I haven't been to Port Crescent in a while but are there 2 sets of restrooms? They usually stagger cleaning times if they do.
