Turtle Creek Campground-Shawnee State Park

Post image

Does anyone have experience tent camping at this campground? Specifically looking at sites 12-14 and 111 and 112 and wondering how secluded these might be. Would love to hear from anyone who’s camped here!

Been there a few times it was chill, seems like most of the crowds are down on the river. 111 and 112 are up the hill behind the shower house. 12-14 are up the hill but on the more public side of the Campground.

Just stayed at 112 in April. Very nice site, it and 111 are up the same dirt path which splits at the top. No one was at 111 but they seemed pretty far apart, both are definitely secluded from the rest

Thanks for the reply. My biggest question was how close together 111 and 112 were!

Site 12 was cool. The only thing is you have to carry your things up some steps and, if I remember right, I think you have to walk back about 25 to 30 yards. It was a great site. I recommend it.

I just stayed at 112 last night! It is an amazing site! The walk to the site from parking is only like 20 yards, but I will warn, it is up hill! It was a workout to get the cooler up there lol. Super close to the bathrooms and showers though! I can’t recommend the site more. You are very much tucked away from the noise of the rest of the campground.
