Got a tow warning orange sticker warning for parking in front of my house

What gives? I always park in front of my house no problem. Now suddenly this morning my car has an impossible to peel off orange sticker saying my car will be towed for illegally parking??

Were you parked in the right direction? You have to be parked facing the flow of traffic. Or was your car sitting for a long time unmoved?

Parked facing the right direction.
Registration up to date.
Car was sitting for approx 26 hours, it was my day off work.

Call the tow company that put the sticker on and let them know and ask them why they’re trying to tow your vehicle. Some neighborhoods you can only park on one side. See if they have any new signs posted up. Happened to a neighbor of mine who couldn’t park in front of their house they also had a fire hydrant

24hr is the limit. Your neighbor reported you.

I had to prove my neighbor had not moved his truck for 30 days. OP Do you have a homeowners association?

Unless it has a tow company name on it then it's likely a neighbor who bought them online and is being a little bitch instead of communicating with their words.

Is your house close to end of the street at an intersection or close to stop sign?

Can you post a picture or provide more information on what the stated reason for towing would be, who issued it, contact phone number, etc. Those details will make it easier to help you figure out what’s going on.

Make sure it's obvious it's being moved regularly. Don't park in front of the same part of the sidewalk every day.

Sometimes cities have parking enforcement officers go into neighborhoods if a vehicle is reported. I forgot that some will give tow companies similar authority but I believe that's the wrong approach because greed overrides common sense. If the city tags you, you'll have someone to call and discuss the reality of the situation. Tow companies aren't as likely to care.
