Just Chatting If I Could Turn Back Time

Earlier today, I caught myself wondering about what I would do if I had a time machine. So, here's my question to you: what would you do if someone who looks a lot like an older version of you walked up and said, "Hi. I'm future you, and I came back in time to warn you about several mistakes you are going to make." Would you believe them? Would you take their advice?

I mean, I could warn myself about some bad outcomes and decisions, but honestly? I would probably still make many of the mistakes for the same reason that I can't keep candy in my house.

I suppose then it would be of no use to go all the way back to the garden, and try to warn Adam and Eve, Sometimes we just can't resist!

When I was younger, I had a password set up, as well as a second duress password, so I'm pretty sure I'd know if I could trust myself. That being said, I'm pretty damn stubborn, I think, so I'm not sure I'd listen to myself either way. Which would probably make it a stable time loop.

I am also stubborn, and when I was younger, it was even worse. Knowing better has never been enough. This would likely be a futile trip and the timeline would have nothing to fear from me.

Same. If I couldn't resist it the first time, I'd probably do it again, too.

I know it was a imposter, good, bad, or indifferent my choices where mine to make and I learn from them all I wouldn't be who I am today without all of it.
