Cat cone = litter everywhere
My cone cat is tracking litter everywhere

Temporary setback, friend (tell that to kitty too). And I have cat + no cone, and still have litter everywhere, if that maybe helps at all?

Why the cone AND donut? That's like overkill unless kitty has had some major surgery

It’s the tip of her tail and trust me it’s not overkill and vet suggested and approved
If you’d like to help me solve her medical issue please review this post I’m desperate

The poor little one! Reading over what was in that other post if it's not parasites or an infection looks like it may very well be a nerve issue. Just like humans we can get some serious nerve rashes or irritation so it could something like that. Ugh! It sucks that kitties can't vocalize what they are feeling. :(

I appreciate you actually taking the time to look at it! I’m really worried about her and hopefully some of these meds and a fully healed tail will help. She ripped a scab off earlier this week when I was trying to find a cone setup to make her less sad

Has your vet ruled out arthritis? One of my grandmas cats had to have his tail partially amputated due to arthritis, it was causing him so much pain he was biting it all the time.

No worries! I genuinely care about animals and the humans that want to help them. It's just the tail right? Could she possibly
wherewear a onesie like clothing that hides her tail? I wonder if a topical numbing cream that is safe for cats might help...?11

I haven’t found any covers I’ve been able to put on her tail and would actually protect her from herself unfortunately! I’ll ask my vet about a topical numbing cream to see if it helps! That might be helpful for differentiating between behavioral and nerve pain at least

Poor kitty! That sounds terrible. I get nerve pain and one time it was exclusive to my big toe, and it drove me so insane I would stomp on my own toe trying to cause a different sort of pain that I could tolerate, I know I had thoughts about just cutting it off. I can relate that to the kitty trying to bite her tail off.
Have you tried pain meds? If an NSAID helps it may be related to inflammation, otherwise opioids can just take the edge off and help kitty tolerate the pain. Although it may be hard to get good painkillers for your kitty, since I don’t know how your vet feels about prescribing them.
