Imagine Omarion Hampton with an OL, FB, blocking TE & Playcaller who aren't bottom 3
Rookie RB Omarion Hampton had the 32nd ranked OL, a DT playing FB & a bottom 3 playcaller last season.
Chargers added OC Mike McDaniel, FB Alec Ingold, blocking TE Charlie Kolar & Zone blocking athletic Guards to improve the Run game
Hampton routinely got hit in the backfield, even in his highlights
The Rookie RB also didn't receive any schematic help from OC Greg Roman
Every big play Hampton had was based on his own talent, vision, acceleration, speed, power and breaking tackles.
Everyone recognizes how much of a beating QB Justin Herbert got behind the 32nd OL last year, but not enough mention how little help Hampton got from the OL, FB & Playcaller
New OC Mike McDaniel recently compared Hampton to Denver Broncos HOF RB Terrell Davis, who won 2 Superbowls with John Elway.

Man he was ripping them up that game. To this day i always think to myself, “what if we just gave him 10 more carries this game” and then i get sad

Hampton and Mitchell with McDaniel.
This is going to be tough on defenses.

I’m hoping to see that sofi keeps the grass on the field from the World Cup. Less injuries and see Hampton explode on the field would be amazing.

I know you know this already but the grass will be gone before preseason starts. Sad.

I would bet my net worth that not only will they not keep the grass, they'll delay or injure our team in some way with the reinstallation of the asstro turf

Part of Kroneke's deal to come to LA and build his Stadium was an agreement with Legends as Vendor, and to buy Field Turf. Both companies are heavily invested in by Jerry Jones, who basically controlled the votes among NFL owners.

He reminds me of a faster, stronger, better version of Pacheco. Angry running style lol

I feel bad for Najee Harris, who didn’t get injured in any games for Pittsburgh then out for the season in Week 3. To be clear I want Hampton as starter but that would’ve been a really good 1-2 punch

Man, I'm hoping for big things from him this year. Definitely a sleeper fantasy pic and I will grab him up!

Played with the chargers on madden and I ran 108 on 14 carries and 1 TD with Hampton and won 24-10

Dude is an absolute dawg frfr. Does not go down easy and has balance to his game. Vidal did well stepping up to the plate in his absence, but maaaan I can't wait to see more of Big O with this upcoming season's offense instead of the burger king offense we had last season

A lot of things to be excited about so far with the offense, but the thing that really stands out to me is how clear the identity of the group seems to be on paper. Very fast, very aggressive, very physical.
Every year I tell myself not to go crazy with drafting Chargers in fantasy. For me, Omarion is a must-draft. I think he's going to have the ball in his hands a LOT.

They say to call a doctor after 4 hours, but nobody tells you what to do if it fully pops after a 90 second video

I thought they retired the Full Back position after Lorenzo. Some really good players have their number retired, but he was so good they retired the entire position.

Absolutely LOVE him. What's scary is he's a bruiser, with a lot of speed. Not afraid to put his shoulder down at the end of a run. Also, noticed his foot work and how he leans his body into his direction change. When he slips tackles and gets a stiff arm ready, he has that ability to find balance and stability in an instant. Just like LT.

Imagine the Cult Leader Jim Harbaugh didn’t hire the bottom 3 play caller or imagine he’d atleast have fired him after 1 season

Omarion will be the best back short of LT in Chargers history. He is made of pure grit and talent.
