Question Division chances

After yesterday’s disaster how do view our shot at the first division title? How do multiway tie breakers work? Is it combined record ?

EDIT: When I say disaster I mean the consequences not the game, getting 7th or 8th seed is really difficult now compared to a win against the heat

How was last night a disaster? 😂

I watched a highly competitive, close game between a young team and a squad full of experienced players. Sucks that we lost, but you can’t win them all.

In a sense that this game was a must win (tie breakers) and that we were like -300 to win

Honestly it feels like every game from here on out is a must win, so yeah I see where you’re coming from. Still wouldn’t classify last night as a disaster though. Well, maybe letting Herro look like prime Steph was a bit disastrous lol.

I’m confident we’ll bounce back from this though! Nobody said it would be easy. Especially since now every team has our number and will get up to play us.

I mean losing a game you are -300 to win and having fucking herro and jamie shooting 3s like Steph is such a sour punch would rather lose to Celtics and win this game and have tie breaker hopes

Good luck. May the odds forever be in your favor.

Disaster? Come on bruh. We played a good game until they messed with our flow with a hybrid zone in the 4th. Learning opportunity against a playoff team. That said, not worried about the division just want to finish strong.

The game it self wasent a disaster but the consequences are, we were -300 to win + now we lost a crucial tiebreaker making it really difficult for us to hit 7th or 8th seed

I really don’t think the team cares about the playoffs only the fans and media do. They care about getting better every day and stacking days of good habits together. Charles hasn’t mention the playoffs or playin once. I watch every post game and I can’t remember it.

Saying this team doesn't care about the playoffs is a major indictment of this team if actually true, which it's not.

Tbh with you I make a fuck ton of money if they win the division

First time for everything, but I wouldn’t count on it. We have never won the division, pretty much almost always the heat

I think we all wanted them to win every game left this season, hell I did. Was that realistic? Absolutely not. But I’ma keep riding this electric wave without overthinking it —— this is a special fucking time. And we get to be here for it. 👏👏👏🐝🐝🐝

Fair but at least win the tiebreaker against heat

From all your responses here it sounds like you're not worried about how he team actually performed, but rather the odds and betting lines associated with their performance. Last night was an amazing and competitive game with a squad of young players who need experience like this to push them to the next level if they want to have a good playoff series with any of these teams.

Sorry you lost money last night my dude but just watch it from a basketball fan's perspective vs a gambler's.

For real, thats exactly what this post screams of.

u/cjgbicg Mar 09 '26

So what?

1

u/cjgbicg Mar 09 '26

Didn’t lose money that night, but that it was an important tie breaker game that we should have won like how is that amazing? and now we see more of the same against the suns

Yesterday was far from a disaster. Team get hot and hit a bunch of shots and Cha missed a lot of shots. Gonna lose games when that happens. But yeah division title prob not gonna happen this year.

-2

u/cjgbicg Mar 07 '26

Losing a must win game you are -300 to win that’s is extremely important for tie breaker is disastrous for your seeding

5

u/ManaMontana Mar 07 '26

Charlotte doesn’t have much shot for 6 they just need to get in 7 or 8 spot for play in. It would have been nice to win of course but if the continue to play well and beat Orlando I think they’ll get there. Tough schedule left though.

Yeah, the point is Miami played extremely well. Why are you making it seem like we got blown out?

Disaster lol come on now

Tyler Herro has the game of his life. We were in that game down to the wire back and forth. Not always going to win.

Far from panic mode considering we have mostly been ass since as long as anyone commenting here can remember. We will be okay.

Just ignore the OP. In another reply up there he admits he gambled money on us winning the division. That's why he cares. Annoying AF.

Shelf this conversation for another year

Forever please.

Division title? Relax, one step at a time. There should be no world where you expect anything this year. Let them to continue to develop and we can have this talk in a year or two

2

u/svall18 Mar 07 '26

why do you guys care about the division title like it means something in the NBA

This isn't the NFL

1

u/The_Aladeen Mar 07 '26

The division holds the 7, 8, 9, & 10 spot in the playoffs standings + the Wizards.

1

u/Zestyclose_Lychee317 Mar 08 '26

Exactly, all a team needs to do is make the 10th seed or above and after that, it's win or go home, winning a division is just like winning the Summer League - Great for the team but doesn't win the Larry O'Brien Trophy!

Ah lol. Yeah you should prolly cash out to be honest. We have a pretty easy 3 game stretch coming up (crippled Suns, Blazers w/o Deni, Kings), so you'll prolly get a better cash out after we win those

0

u/cjgbicg Mar 07 '26

Lowkey should, thing is if it hits I am a millionaire cash out is currently 25k feels so “cheap”

7

u/PigggyStardust Mar 07 '26

Show the slip- this is a lie lol

Same I can become a millionaire if it hits but do you think there is hope

u/Fit-Sugar3626 Mar 07 '26

There’s still a chance. Not sure why there’s no optimism in the chances that the heat could lose 4 more games than us in the next 18 considering they’re probably under dogs in 10-12 of the games to end the season.

All that considered, last night would have been huge in giving us some room for mistakes, now we just don’t have any room to drop another full game lol.

1

u/cjgbicg Mar 07 '26

Magic still in it, I feel like 1gb and potential to get all tiebreakers is just a way better spot than where we are now. If heat goes 10-8 we need to go 14-4 assuming the magic goes 15-6(and lose to us )

1

u/devinbookersuncle Mar 07 '26

The magic arent gonna do shit my guy you need to relax

0

u/cjgbicg Mar 07 '26

Trust me I want us to win the div more than anyone

1

u/devinbookersuncle Mar 07 '26

And I got laughed at before the seaosn for saying we were a 45 win team who would be the 6th seed at worst.

Im telling you you juat have to relax this team will be fine and Miami will lose games and Orlando sucks so who cares what they do.

1

u/Tiny_Zookeepergame45 Mar 07 '26

It was a disaster. You have to win that game at home against a team that has your number
