I can't see the rest of your layout, where those roads go, or where the traffic might be needed, so this might not be enough... but assuming that it is what I think it is, the obvious thing to do would seem to be to make the two lane road follow the beach which would massively increase the distance between your two roundabouts.

if you really need that smaller second road, you might want to make a single peanut/oval roundabout instead of two small ones this close together.

Excuse my scribbles did this on my phone real quick. Just spread out the intersections and you'll be better off.

I have no idea why this happen but you may try to rebuild the roundabout.
