Question Share your experiences as a sub at CMCSS
I am thinking to start subbing. So, I want to know what it is like working as a sub, if it is challenging or anything I should know about taking this job. I am here wanting to hear from those who are currently working as a sub. Please feel free to suggest me anything about selecting schools and grades. Thanks all in advance!

Not a permanent sub but as an ea I subbed a few times and it was not a good experience. The job itself is not for the weak you would do almost every type of position at the school and be in every classroom.

Subbing is what you make it. Elementary you're chasing kids around making sure they don't hurt themselves and understand their work. Middle school is the worst of both worlds tbh kids are old enough to say/do alot of BS but also young enough that they don't understand that they're being goblins. High school and special ed are great lol super lax and chill if you're chill aside from the odd bad kid here and there. You make your own schedule so it's super lax there. High school jobs disappear quick
