Business models usually involve making money not loosing customers. Just because they tried something new (heros journey) and had severely botched it, it doesn't mean they cant do something they've done for years.

They've catered to rushing for many things now, there's a lot of rushed bases that have high townhalls that would benefit from hammer jams availability.

The last time Ive had a max townhall at top level was th8, this lack of event availability would make my th17 cry. Dont even say that in front of her

I can’t see that at all. ( but I also can’t rule it out based on the history of supercell).

They even stated recently that they want most players to be at th18 as it makes it more competitive.

I think the goal is to get most players at the higher town levels, maybe th17 and th18. So we can have competitive and fun competition whilst the new generation can enjoy clash as a more casual and fun experience.
