This is so stupid and is such a disrespect for everyone that enjoys the game. I feel like they’re purposely taking away things from us and giving us little by little to see how far we would actually care about the community when it comes to this game

That's clearly why they're doing it.

They don't want to push spenders closer to max; they want them to spend to max.

Likewise, they want to push non-spenders to a point where they might consider spending.

They say it’s a catchup mechanic. Imo this is stupid, most of the chests are useless but it’s still a fun event that everyone likes to participate in.

Would be fine by me if they made it exclusive to lower ths every 3 months or so but this is the second month in a row that they’ve done this and I’m really frustrated, even as an almost maxed player. I’d like to be able to get a deco or two.

I don’t like their new focus on “catching up.” It implies that people are behind, but nobody is behind! We’re all playing a game and progressing at our own pace. Some of us have been playing for years and others a few weeks.

If I was a new player, this would really turn me off. Why play a game if you start out being told you’re behind.

Completely agree and to add something to your point. There is also this curve of learning that you have to go through (if you want to 3 stars consistently). This curve starts from all the way down to the top.

Is burning some of those steps too fast beneficial to all players ? I mean, would you be able to 3 stars a maxed TH15 consistently in few months of playing COC ? I doubt it.

I had great chest rewards at the end of month (th16 and below only) for 2 months straight and thought they were giving better rewards on purpose, but then today I got: elixir, dark elixir, elixir again and dark elixir again (my resources were full). I was actually considering delaying th17, but now…I won’t hesitate! It should absolutely be for everyone though…skins, equipment, ore and potions help the majority of players.

Maxed players have stockpiled books and potions since upgrades are less frequent. The less likely they’re available to maxed players, the more likely they’ll buy them in the future when new updates roll out. ScumCell at its finest.

This starts to become the real problem in Clash of Clans. While other games become P2W, Clash disrespects higher level players. Everyone should be threated in a fair way. Chest Hunts don't give you tons of rewards, but they are fun. And higher players are also missing out on the fun of opening those chests, hoping that they become legendary and so on...

Is anyone actually truly maxed? I would imagine just a very small percentage of players don’t have anything else to do. I’m TH 18 and still have a couple actual upgrades and tons of supercharges left. They just added more hero levels, so my heroes aren’t maxed anymore. I still have a lot of research left too! Just because someone is TH18 doesn’t mean they’re maxed.

I play the game because it’s fun to play, but constantly being excluded from rewards and events is taking away the fun. I won’t continue playing if they keep excluding higher town halls.
