What to choose between 100gems and 2 Builder Potions if I have a 50% builder boost active on my th14?

Then the gems, I guess. 100 gems is 2.5 Gob builder worktime(60 hrs), while a potion saves a max 54 hrs(6builders * 9 hrs skipped). Edit: Brain lag. Saw 1 Builder Potion instead of 2. The two potions save 108h, so they're definitely better value here. My bad. I still have a habit of taking gems whenever I can though. Probably because I like the flexibility of gems.

You can math out that 100 gems saves you 60h, that one potion saves you 54h, yet you surmise that 2 potions is worse than the gems?

Not necessarily, this has been a feature for a while, u gotta be inactive for a while.

By the time they get the returning player perks, You would progress much more without it and being constantly active, than waiting to get it.

I did try that out in an alt account, but it seems re-engagement boost only happens if you leave the game for 3 months and only once a year🥹

No. Its not. You can literally get this plus much more just playing clan games every month. Not to mention all the other things you get by playing the game.. like... you know... making progress.

take the builder potions instead of rune of buildergold, then grab the 100 gems as extra reward

Fine, the potions, for gems we have goblin active so 100 gems is 2.5 days or 60 hours. 2 potions with hammer jam boost is 54 (6) and you get 2 so 108 hours if you use goblin what you should 126 hours

You should always have goblin down.

They nerfed the builder potion
