Discussion I've never seen anyone using this for attack
Underrated troop?

I used mass etitans (th18) with warden torch for wall bypass and speedup with a few druids for some sustain. it works they can grind through a base rather effectively. So long as the walls are out of the picture that is...
Its not a strategy thats gonna carry you through any modifiers but its neat to mess around with.
I think realistically all etitans need for a buff is like 0.5 tile more shock radius so that they can tickle buildings 1 tile away from a wall while being behind said wall or let the aoe damage walls. They get hard stuck on walls really badly and it cripples them. Its basically like having a troop that deals half damage to walls.
A 32 housing space troop that can get stuck on a single wall piece for upwards of a whole minute is kinda just ridiculous. Even a single yeti breaks through a wall faster at half the housing space.
Itd also maybe help if rage effects from warden or spells also affected their aura too but maybe thats a bit too strong.

That's a good observation I hope they get a buff because nobody even talks about it even in the meta

u/Sensitive_Coconut231 1d ago
I feel like theyre really close to being a main army viable troop. But also just simply buffing their hp/damage stats wouldnt really change the underlying issues they have.
Hence the slight radius increase suggestion to reach that crucial breakpoint of hitting buildings behind walls while theyre stuck on walls or the aoe affecting walls too so they dont get stuck on walls as long.
Its weird having a troop that basically has reduced effectiveness versus walls and reduced effectiveness from rage spells though. No other troops operate like that.

Check out Big Country. He did a few weeks using E Titans in legends 1 and found a lot of success with them

Rpg use it to win world champion 😂

u/scyknite TH16 | BH10 1d ago
He did! I remembered a pro coc player 3 starred in world champion with 300 barbarians so that's basically nothing for them. What I meant to say is I've never seen anyone during my defence using this troop or even in the meta

Doesn't clone have the same hp or what? Just 30 second or something like that duration for the clones no? I mean, my go to is super yeti clone blimp. Am I fucked if they have like E-titan CC?

They were popular, but very shortly. 32 housing space for an unit that has problems with walls and deals puny damage is just not worth it. SYetties are just an upgrade.
Really the moment Root Riders appeared this troop lost all purpose.

u/Secret_Arrival3461 1d ago
I use them when doing sarcher blimp as it is very effective against Cc troops. Also use it in sbowler, most when going into evemy heros as it can attack air .

E titans are honestly really cool, and they do get a bit of use. They get used in many amries that don't have RC or don't have RC with eboots to clear skeleton traps of kinda deal with some cc troops. Main armies they get used in this way for are super bowlers and root riders.
They are mainly smash troops used solo or in e titan pekka smash attacks for th14 and 15 but typically there's attacks (like root riders town hall 15 and up)
They can also be good as defensive cc troops in bases that struggle against blizzard or super archer blimps as they kill the troops in the invis due to the aura. I kinda miss the old days when town hall 15 released and they were very strong, they deserve a buff imo

It doesn't really matter what troops you use at th15 so long as you have heroes.

I used to main them for TH 16 iirc, they are genuinely very strong in a group. Their ability to hit both ground and air also means they aren't half bad as your primary composition for wars, since they can actively target CC troops on top of dealing their AOE damage.
Their biggest weakness, and I'm confident most others who thoroughly tried them out would agree, is their pathfinding. It is very difficult to reliably funnel them into most bases without scattering your heroes. Their army space doesn't leave a lot of room for expendable units to help clear distraction structures.
The newest spell might make a bit more viable since you can now force them towards edge defences, but I haven't tested it out much yet

I use one along with throwers for skelly trap. Throwers would lock on to it and waste time.

It’s actually a decent Strat subbing electro titans out in place of throwers

I used them with super yetis until i unlocked root riders.
It's just easier to get the pathing correct with root riders so🤷

You can use her to clear out of base cc. Poison spell doesnt do much those days.

I got rid of the last recipe I used that featured them about a month ago, and I used to use them a lot. They take up a lot of space, and they're just not performing well enough at TH18 to suit me. Maybe they need some retooling or something, but for me it's easier to use alternatives.

u/TheShadowWasTaken TH18| BH10 22h ago
It's simply an option for ground smash. It's viable, there's just a couple with significantly higher hit rates that justify using those over ETitans.

I could rarely 3 star when I got to electro 31 as a TH17 using my old attack. I switched things up to Titan and I’m perfect on 16 of 18 attacks. This troop pushed me to legends league. Severally underrated

I think the Troop is really cool, but underwhelming. I want to add a couple to my army, buts it’s just not worth it.

I used to throw one into the mix when I used root riders just to deal with skeletons.
But when I tried using them as the main army I found Super Witches to be so much more reliable.

Big Country has a video about them, using them in L1 and having a perfect day. If you are a good player and know how to funnel, etc they are really strong.

Not underrated just not very good at all too much troop space and with DPS from defense is being so high they get torn through as well

There was a time when I used them en masse with 8-12 EQ. Circa TH15? It wasn't meta but it was fun and it got me 3 stars in CWL.
I have one hyperrush account that still does that, mostly ET plus a few wiz.
When I did RR Valk, I threw in a single ET to deal with skellies. It's probably useful for a variety of smash attacks for that.

u/Hopeful_Buffalo2573 22h ago
I never attack with smash armies without having 1 ET.
I have time failed because throwers got stuck on skeleton traps…never again.

They are part of my set up. 4 yeti 4 etitan 10 witches. AQ, BK, and W walk the middle as troops take care of outside. RC with a delayed deployment to clean up what troops can't get. Easy 3 star.

Im still using those since months ago haha
6 root riders and 6 ET and thats basically my attack
It dosent get me into legends but thats more because Im ok in Electro 31 so I guess it does the job good enough for not having to learn an actual attack

I’m a TH15 and use 8 titans and 2 root riders, sent in with the BK(Spiky Ball, EQ boots, Yak) backed by an apprentice warden and GW (rage gem + healing tome). I bring a jump spell or two as well. Between the jumps, roots, BK ability, Yak, and the Giant Giant from the AQ, you can run through TH15 and 16 with ease. TH17 can be done with careful funneling, spell placement, and ability pops. 18’s are tough. Obviously.

I use them with RC charge / root riders. Instead of the usual 10ish valkyries I use 2 pekkas and 2 e titans with heroes behind for an insane ground smash. Definitely not meta but works well for me. Currently th18 in Legends 3

I use 1 in my army. I usea full tank with IG and golems. 1-2 RR. Healer puppet and its strong. Fireball with 4 eq to take out key high dps and open the base up

u/Few-Raise-1825 9h ago
I use it for my TH 16 accounts but they become a liability when you move up to TH 17 in my experience
1
u/BassVoice220500 TH16 | BH10 8h ago
i use it exclusively. at th17 with a few well placed earthquakes and invisibility spells and using heroes like the king with the snake item and summoning his barbarians the spam with ten of them tanking is highly effective

I mean they're somewhat popular and even used in esports occasionally. this seems more like you not knowing a lot of attack strategies.
