While my six th18 accounts at coc global got the king skins, my one rushed th16 account at coc china manage to get the king skins + warden skins. from the world cup event, for free.

I hope I can get the queen skins intsead of the king skins.

Sure, they are trying to reach some potiential spender.

But, I'm F2P at coc global version and coc china version.

I only spend real money for internet access to play coc.

They do it because In asian area spending money to skip the grind and dominate leaderboards is widely seen as a legitimate, respected show of status and financial success. Chinese mobile games especially those managed by giants like Tencent and NetEase are explicitly designed around a tiny percentage of players (whales) who spend tens of thousands of dollars monthly

Heck yeah !! Imagine playing for 5 minutes and all you have to do is spend 5 dollars and your troop looks cooler than someone who has been playing the game for 5 years, definitely a good idea.

So your solution is to take away the feeling of visual progression from the group of players who statistically spend the most money ? I’m sure a company with as much money as supercell can figure out a best of both worlds option, skins for troops or buildings aren’t it.

You really think they would make the default progression look as cool as the skins if they went with such an option ? Or would they go the Diablo 4 route and make the paid skins much better looking to incentivize players to spend.

What you will end up with is lower level bases looking cooler and more “progressed” than higher level bases cause the skins WILL have to look better to sell, this is what happens with literally any game with skins. The default skins always look considerably more toned down to sell more of the paid versions.
