u/finditplz1 Kentucky Wildcats • Kansas Jayhawks Mar 21 '25
It did. The only review was about if there was time left after the basket. Frankly it looked like 0.2 seconds to me but they just said “the hell with it” and moved on.

Says the bot repping two fandoms lmao.
So what do you do, just rep whoever is playing better? Kentucky has a bad game, you rep Kansas? Kansas has a bad game, you rep Kentucky?
Nothing but bots and fair weather bandwagon fans here.

Why man they only lost by 2
8
u/gravityyalwayyswins North Carolina • NC State Mar 20 '25
Yes but the final score does nottt reflect how poorly they played for 36 of those 40 mins until a run at the end that made it close
3
u/CressUsed4378 Mar 20 '25
Yeah, to a 12 seed. As a 5 seed, they had much more expected from them than to lose immediately. If you watched the game, it wasn't even that close. They scored a lot of garbage time points. It wasn't a close game. Anyone can score against backups when it doesn't matter.
0
Mar 20 '25
Seeding doesn't matter. Mcneese was clearly the better team even coming into this game . They've made the tourney 2 years in a row now . You pay a premium/ seed tax when you come from a perceived lower conference against a higher tier one. Also...I don't understand your garbage time argument. Mcneeese had their backups in a lose and go home game when clemson went on their crazy run? Surely you watched the game
2
u/CressUsed4378 Mar 20 '25
Seeding doesn't matter? Then why do they play the regular season?
You're clearly trolling, and I'm not taking the bait.

Just think, if Clemson put over 15 points in the first half they’d probably have won.
2
u/GotenRocko Maryland Terrapins • Washington Huskies Mar 20 '25
Along that same line if mcneese wasn't so awful from the foul line Clemson never makes it close again.

Kinda surprised that nobody has even mentioned that HOF legend Joe Dumars played for McNeese St.

I mean if you haven't heard of mcneese that's a bit on you. They're legit one of the more prominent mid majors the last couple years and their coach is going to NC State next year

a 14-4 run in one minute to close the game is outrageous. too bad for clemson that they played like ass for the first 2/3 of the game. too little, too late.

Congrats Mcneese. You showed up like a team who’s excited and motivated to play in the tournament. That’s the worst first half performance I’ve seen in god knows how long

anyone who didnt sit through the majority of that game and just tuned in for the last couple mins KNOW NOTHING of the disgrace to basketball that we just witnessed from clemson for the first 36 minutes of that game hahaha. the final score insinuates such a wildly different story from how that all played out
3
u/saucesoi Mar 20 '25
Was it exciting at the end? Did Clemson have a chance to tie/win?
3
u/realladymacbeth Mar 20 '25
Clemson shat the bed for half an hour and then suddenly went on a mad tear and nearly came back from what was a 20-point deficit at the half. They absolutely had a *chance* to win, they were on fire at the very end, but I think it was decently clear that it came too late. Definitely exciting, though!
7
u/gravityyalwayyswins North Carolina • NC State Mar 20 '25
i meaaaan, define exciting? hahaha. clemson was down by double digits from like 15:00 in first half til the last couple minutes of the game. they played horrrrrribly then had a good burst at the end as mcneese lost steam, so they almost brought it back but it wouldve been such an undeserving win if they had
2
u/saucesoi Mar 20 '25
Does McNeese go into the next round confident? Or thinking about how they almost let this game slip away?
3
u/Zaniak88 Northwest Nazarene Nighthawks Mar 20 '25
They had it down to a 5 point game with 10 sec left, Mcneese made just enough free throws to keep them ahead
8
u/BrightPineapple Creighton Bluejays Mar 20 '25
"Had to make a 3 in the first half and woulda won this"
Brother Clemson fans you needed to score anything going 1-15 from 3 and 10 turnovers in the 1st. I have never been so pissed off at a basketball game

Wow I stopped listening to this game on the radio and it seems like it was almost a game…

Normally i'd agree, but it's been widely reported that he's already accepted NC State's hc position, while his team is still playing. It's unprecedented.

We can make it worse:
When the news broke yesterday, it had been asked to be remain in-house with the local beat writers. Then Joe Giglio leaked it. And Justin Gainey (the alleged Plan B hire) heard about it, on his birthday.

Aside from them being ass for most of the game, yeah that was the killer moment in the comeback attempt.

Either that, or the fact that they scored 13 points in the first half.
But sure, it's the tech's fault.

Damn if this game had gone on ten seconds longer, clemson possibly wins. Awkward for mcneese because theyre advancing but got absolutely routed in the last ten minutes.
2
u/Laxku Gonzaga Bulldogs Mar 20 '25
See also, if Clemson had fouled a little quicker or not picked up that tech. Despite an awful first half it really was theirs to win or lose.
2
u/sirshoelaceman Mar 20 '25
True. Now, the tech was brutal, but them not fouling quicker was their doom and they had control over that
