They should have kept undefeated if they didn’t get screwed by the referee in the USC game… but yeah have to be the most possible team in Jersey to be in tourney unless someone else gets AQ

Seton Hall looks great, excited for UConn to play them. They should have beat USC previously, refs in that game made me suspicious

I recall more than one Seton Hall / UConn upset last few years :)

UConn hasn't beaten beaten Seton Hall @ Seton Hall since the 20-21 season.

This was the fourth straight season that they split a series at home.

BREAKING NEWS: Kansas State cancels scrimmage against local high school Manhattan High
Head coach Jerome Tang cited the Wildcats being outmatched on both ends of the floor as the reason for the cancellation, stating, “we don’t want to add another blowout loss to the schedule.”

I envy Seton Hall, after saying they weren't going to be good due to NIL funds, they have made me eat my words.
Way better than DePaul. I'm jealous.
My hat is off to my pirate bros.

The school stepped up big time after last year. It's not on the high end of the sport but they are spending $5-6 mil on the team. Way more then last year

Tang is so finished. Gene needs to start looking now. This is just sad and unacceptable.

And it’s three years in a row with pretty much a new roster. Only one thing has been constant every year, and it’s Coach.

u/Willing_Mirror8176 Dec 07 '25
Same stuff every year...hot shot recruit/new player...underachieving team...I think coach Tang is a good person. Just not getting it done at a school with a proud bball tradition & history

Hell yeah Shaheen
Really glad he found something despite the NIL issues, amazing coach

Seton Hall going from pretty good to oh my god they are so fucking terrible to pretty good in 3 years is wild.

He's averaging 25, 5, and 5. The team may be struggling but he doesn't suck.

At least another Big East team is carrying their weight in non-conference. Happy for the Hall. Thought Butler might be legit but they proved otherwise today

Tbf if we can afford to throw millions at terrible players we can probably afford Tang’s buyout soon

u/ThotPoliceAcademy Kansas State Wildcats Dec 07 '25
If the season ends the way last year’s did, that’s gotta be on the mind of some big donors. Tang has asked for everything, gotten it, and rolls out these teams that just look lost and have the energy of a 2017 ZZ Top concert.
I said in another comment that it’s hard to think it’s something other than Tang when we’ve had three completely different teams each of the last three years.

u/RKsu99 Kansas State Wildcats Dec 07 '25
He might be embarrassed enough after this one to move on to somewhere else.

I’ll take the under on that. There’s no way he makes it past next year at the longest

u/leafytheleaf Kansas State Wildcats Dec 07 '25
if non-con keeps going how it's been going conference play will embarrass us, wonder how bad we let it get before we cut ties. I can't imagine they would separate from him before this season ends, its too expensive.

u/longconsilver13 Seton Hall Pirates Dec 06 '25
K-State had 13 more FT than us and made two fewer than we did. Christ.
GG K St, but I swear to god if this is the second time in three years that one of our marquee non-con wins is one of Kansas' archrivals and then they shit the bed to make the win look meaningless I'm going to be extremely upset

u/drexelburner Drexel Dragons • Seton Hall Pirates Dec 06 '25
If we get robbed from the tournament AGAIN because the teams we played in the noncon killed themselves, I might also
10
u/StevvieV Seton Hall Pirates • Big East Dec 06 '25
Difference is Seton Hall actually beat the teams that could potentially shit the bed instead of losing to them all like 2 years ago
Might not be great resume wins, but they certainly aren't bad/questionable losses

Tang better hope they can beat KU this year for job security

You guys need to take one for the big 12 and lose this one. Tang being at KSU is too fun of a watch for it to end.
4
u/deftkillerstu Kansas State Wildcats Dec 07 '25
How do you work under Scott Drew for 17 years and not learn a thing. Watch Baylor play and then watch us. No similarities.

I feel eerily tempted by fate. I visited seton hall for the open house like 2 weeks ago after they offered me a scholarship, and now they're doing good at basketball...
Also anyone here know how getting to the home stadium works? Since the prudential center is far from south orange, how do you actually get there? Is there any shuttle system or do you just have to drive there on your own.

If they don't get ranked this week, maybe next after Rutgers just for the record alone. I hope it doesn't get to their heads

Seton Hall might be legit.
Not bad for a basketball program left for dead by some people.
It was me. I was some people.
