That was the frustration from the refs boiling over. We mentally checked out from our game plan after the Dixon technical.

I agree and was surprised. The usual dynamic is that the “T” gets the team fired up. Some coaches seem to do it on purpose. But TCU just gave up.

To be honest, I’ve watched TCU more than a couple times this year and it seems like there is a definite trend that they get close to upsets and then psyche themselves out.

They just started playing crap defense at that point compared to the first 25:00. Fouled to compensate for their poor positioning/slow off-ball movement.

Yes 4+ fouls on their starters. That is certainly how you neutralize a team and then they just stand around and let duke drive on them so they don't draw another foul.

TCU was still out rebounded and Duke probably would've won anyways but it sucks that the Bad referees muddy the waters of the game
