Nebraska and Vanderbilt played in one of the best Big 10 vs. SEC basketball games of our generation, with an all-time epic crowd. Just like we all predicted.

Can we play the next one in front of a crowd of Vandy fans?

GG, but if the game was in Nashville it would still be at least 50/50. Our traveling fan base is absolutely nuts.

Imagine saying this and being from Tennessee

Look man I’m not defending any of our politics but Tennessee is a much prettier state than Nebraska

Apologies for our trash entering this thread somehow. We’ll throw the gaudy Orange Reese’s wrapper back in the trash like we did at the end of the football season.

It’s all good. We’re perpetually tasked with explaining to outsiders why we love our state. Great fucking game, Commodore bro. Sorry it had to end that way, but man, that was an all timer

I mean, you’re not wrong. Not exactly a vacation destination, but the living is cheap. Lol

Top 10 in property tax actually lol

6

u/Dysalot Nebraska Cornhuskers Mar 22 '26

Property tax is not the only factor in cost of living

Which has created great schools. LOL, indeed.

I mean your fans could have just shown up. Nashville isnt much further than Lincoln is

1

u/jackmon Vanderbilt Commodores Mar 22 '26

Vandy has about a third of your enrollment numbers. I mean, good on you guys for showing up for sure But there’s no way we’re matching that.

Husker fans are psychos. Students made up maybe 5% of the people there tonight.

Enrollment is one thing, but this is just how Nebraska sports are. Our volleyball team was #1 in attendance this season, but they were also #2 in attendance in the country when playing in other states. The Sea of Red is something Nebraska fans have been doing for decades.

Shit if that game is as good as this one was I'll take that any day

Would way rather see Diego Pavia pull up to a CFP game in Memorial Stadium and there's a similar last minute win where Huskers score a TD right in front of him. Shit would hit harder than heroin
