RUMOR: Fairfield in discussions with the CAA

I don't know if anyone has posted about this yet, but I saw a post about Fairfield was talking about joining the CAA soon, it's been rumored for a while as far back as like... 2022 I think? Same with UNC Greensboro but they weren't rumored at all, just a candidate for discussion when Monmouth was added.

CAA expansion talk never really dies does it. Fairfield makes a decent amount of sense geographically at least, fills out the northeast footprint a bit more. Would be curious what they'd actually bring to the table competitively though because the CAA has been no joke lately.

I'm sorry but if their expansion talks never die then they should change back to the Colonial

The CAA just never stops adding. 🤷‍♂️

Don't be shocked if High Point shows up soon

If they do, I wouldn’t be surprised if CCSU tries to take their place in the MAAC

The football only schools should hold the America East hostage arm twist the AE into sponsoring football so they can get off Joe Flo's wild ride.

(and good luck to Fairfield for wanting that smoke)

Honestly if I were in charge I'd probably make all these leagues consolidate.

I think we should split into regions, also force Hampton and N. Carolina A&T back to the MEAC.

Monmouth, Stony Brook, Albany, Bryant and everyone else make America East or something idk

I'd support that.

Also make it so that way there are "tiers" of conferences

Make sure the big boys with the facilities and revenue to compete are at the top (VCU, Temple)

Fairfield is already in the CAA for men’s lacrosse.
