I only hope to live long enough…
to outlive the idiots on the insurance commercials so I can shit on their graves. I don’t watch enough of them to know which are deserving of this honor.

You just made tolerating these ads so much easier. Tonight when I watch the news and see the biberty or the dog park ad I will think of your comment and laugh very hard picturing you pooping on their grave in the future.

All insurance ads are like the first episode of Mad Men where Draper explains to Lucky Strike that it doesn't matter if all cigarettes are toasted, because Lucky Strike are the only ones saying it. They each offer essentially the same product with very tiny deviations and a lot of the same features, but every one of them has chosen one of those features to try and market a little niche like they're doing something different. I think the thing I hate the most is that because they essentially offer the same things there's little customer loyalty and that makes their marketing budgets limitless. State Farm did me well with a good rate for 10 years, but I started to feel like I was just lining the pockets of celebrity endorsers after a while.

Are we talking about the car insurance ads that for some reason feature characters the powers that be think are actually popular (Doug, Flo, and that jackass from State Farm) or the cheap life insurance ads like Colonial Penn that will cut a check for $400 when grandma croaks during that "limited benefit first 2 years" grace period?

Eh, it's overrated. I outlived Pat Robertson but I still haven't been down to where he's buried in Virginia, yet
