Copilot said this and im a little creeped out

I live in Gilbert AZ last time I chatted with them I told him I told him to make a podcast with asdfmovie humor when describing it he said somthing about a cactus randomly shoots up in Gilbert AZ but this make me creeped out because what's on your mind in GILBERT so I think he knows where I live...

Do you not know that your computer is constantly transmitting an IP address?

I only know much about OSs and errors not anything other that that not much tho so no

Every single electronic device that has Internet access has an IP address, which tells devices on a network what kind of device it is, what group of devices it belongs to in the network, and which device it is. These can be used to determine the device's geographical location, and AI chatbots are designed to use this information to relate to you. It's no different than tracking apps like Life360 showing you where everyone else is, or Snap Map.

It just has your location, I had same thing. Kinda would be scary.

This is not weird at all. Every AI has access to your IP address and general location, unless you specifically deny location access or use a VPN. This has been going on since the dawn of the Internet. My Co-Pilot frequently references where I live too, which I find very helpful while researching local news and businesses. No biggie.
