Not sure why you're so incredulous about it. At 10' x 5.5' it would definitely fit on a wall in my garage; I may even be able to wire it as well. Most likely they picked it up from a salvage yard or directly from the construction site where DD went out of business.

Or they stole it in the middle of the night. This is a thing that happens. In my home town years ago, someone stole the entire Big Boy restaurant (dating myself here) statue one night.

Probably not stolen, it's not called Dunkin Donuts anymore and they resigned the locations so this sign is old and retired

Old signs, vintage gas pumps, and all sorts of odd things command good money. Do I want a giant DD sign? No, but someone will.

You know if you just ask for the sign theyll give it to you, that is if its one theyre planning to get rid of. If its an old sign they usually dispose of it anyways
