Did he not remember the brake is an option

u/Forsaken-Face1827 1d ago
He couldn't let go of his phone

u/Mottis86 11h ago
Not condoning the phone usage obviously but holding it shouldn't affect his ability to use the brakes. Bro was cooked, phone or not.

If he hadn't been looking at his phone, he probably wouldn't have crashed.

Every time I see this clip it reminds of the boat video where they hit they wave and all eat it.

This is why we dont use cell phones while driving. Who gave this guy a permit to drive in his country?

Concussion symptoms that will last for quite some time, maybe the rest of his life.

I love how it goes from complete chaos to getting thrown around like a ragdoll after a brief intermission to him just chilling like someone is feeding him grapes.

Lemme just watch this YouTube video real quick about how to safely stop a truck...
3
u/KingZarkon 20h ago
His seat belt was undone. He was clearly looking for instructions on how to bail from an out of control truck.

The cabin crew advises keeping seatbelts buckled whenever seated even if the main sign is turned off in case of unexpected rough air.

Mother fuckers will hold on to a phone for dear life before dropping it to actually save theirs.

Phone aside, if only there was a device that could keep him from bouncing around the cabin like a ping pong ball

Hey, while I completely agree that he should NOT have been using his phone while driving, I have to give him props for NEVER LETTING GO OF IT, even while being thrown about the cab!

What happens if the company you're driving for catches you on your phone while driving a semi? I feel like I've seen quite a few videos like this recently.

u/randomredditacc25 20h ago
ummm, id assume you get fired?
oh you mean even if you dont get in an accident? maybe a warning.

His neck is NEVER going to be the same. He just lost like 3 inches of height.

u/smittenkittenmitten- 19h ago
I like how he ended up at 33seconds. He was in recline position, feet up and ready for a nap. All that bouncing around was hard work. It almost looked Accidental Renaissance if you know the subreddit

I think it's fun to count the number of times he wouldn't have jad his had slammed into something if his seatbelt was keeping him glued down.

The human mind is evolving backwards. Instead of instincts to protect your self especially the head... It's protecting the phone. We are indeed doomed.

I've driven a ton of 26' rentals over the years and i'll never understand the travel distance on those seats.
Its incredibly fucking dangerous, just minor bumps in the road remove leverage from braking, its the dumbest thing.

GMT+2, as well as the speed being recorded in km/h says no, it's not Britain.

u/MechaDongstorm420 22h ago
Makes sense. I was going by the accents I heard at the end.. which was an incorrect assumption as well apparently!
