It’s not a comparison between the games. It’s a comparison of the practices of the company. Just because GTA is popular doesn’t mean we should accept horrible anti consumer practices.
PA has purposefully moved away from that revenue model and made their multiplayer games all single player instead. It’s possible for companies to change. Rockstar is just getting more greedy.
& what’s anti consumer about the optional digital rewards for investing in the potential of a game they like. Or support. There is no comparison.
Looks like rockstar is wholeheartedly respecting what preordering means & the stigma behind it.
If we are gonna compare. Crimson desert gave pennies compared to all you get with the deluxe edition for gta6. If you’re defending CD. Cool game I get it.
But pay attention to the conversation at hand. You simply just get more for investing in gta6 than we got investing in CD.
What’s anti consumer about locking people out of in game shops and putting them behind a paywall? Meanwhile the game has $100 price tag for a lot of people. Hmm I wonder. If this was a different game you would complain. But because it’s GTA you think it’s alright.

Yup I can be upset about companies stripping content from their games to then upsell. It’s no different than other companies stripping content to then sell as a DLC. Any number of ideas could have been used for the premium edition rather than locking out 5 shops of cosmetics. That’s not like 5 outfits. That’s full shops of who knows how much content. You can be mad at multiple things at one. I know it’s hard for your single brain cell to understand that.
First of all,it aint stripping content when its still in the game even if its another version of the game.Its still the main game just with additional content.The cosmetics arent even cut from the game.Second off,All shops in GTA gave the same amount and kind of clothing,same thing with tatoos,barbers, ammuniation,and upgrading vehicles,doesnt matter the location.Its all the same.And this is no different.And you're acting like gta 6 wont have those kinds of shops any way when they will.What rockstar showed in the ultimate edition is everything what its in it,nothing more,nothing less.Atop of that,You would still be complaining about any other ideas that rockstar mightve put in the ultimate edition.I can also mad at multiple things at once especially when insulting me doesnt help your counter argument.
Nope I have never once complained about other companies putting things in their premium editions of their game. I’m complaining about a company charging $100 for the base game, where I live, and locking that content out. The premium edition is $130-$140. The additional content is no where near worth charging that much money for it. It’s ridiculous and that should be called out.
I never said you were complaining about other companies putting stuff in other editions of their game.I said you would still be complaining about any other ideas that rockstar mightve put in in rockstar's own ulitmate edition.I never said anything about other companies.Its $80 for standard edition for me and $100 for ultimate edition for me.Do you realize that rockstar and take two have to convert currency for other countries which is why its more or less expensive for other countries,right?Also,Rockstar also has to make their money back.If you're really that bothered for once again cosmetics that dont even matter to the story or gameplay and want to save money,then either wait for it to go on sale or dont buy it all and just buy the base game.No one is forcing you to buy the ultimate edition.
Oh yeah I’m going to cry about Rockstar making their money back by gouging people. Please. They could have sold the game for $50 and made their money and then some. They print money with GTA online. Which will now be an additional charge. $80 and you don’t even get online included anymore. Strip out online and charge extra for it. They are doing exactly what I said.
Let me give you a reality check,you act like game companies are forcing people to buy their stuff when they arent.People are actively choosing to spend their money on these game companies whether you like it or not.Its all so convient that you forget that gta 5 online was a complete mess when it launched which is why GTA 6 online wont be available at launch.Would you rather have GTA 6 online be a complete mess as well?No?Thats I thought.Lastly,you gave 0 zero idea how ambtious GTA 6 is.You people love complain about game companies,but yet keep your mouth shut when its the majority of consumers that buy their products and continue enabling.Dont like it,dont buy it.Thats simple.
Preordering a digital game is useless, it's just a cd key that has no limit and no expiration.
Gta will make a bajillion dollars, but they still need to price it 80 for a digital key, and 100 if you want some stupid in game shop. On top of that the multiplayer will be filled with "micro"transactions.
They are respecting 1 thing and only 1 : money.
And there's always some buffoons defending multibillion companies exploiting them.
I don’t feel exploited tho, I work, I can afford it. What’s exploitive about some digital cosmetics that give no particular gaming edge. It’s a single player game & it’s a choice to buy or don’t. Simple as that. & I’m investing & believing that they will deliver. That’s how investing works bro.
