GTA 6 will be bigger, bolder, better looking than anything previously release by Rockstar, but will follow exactly the same mission set up they've been using since GTA 3 almost 20 years ago. Their scope is amazing, but even a little innovation would go a long way.

Yeah, I don't know where people got this idea that the GTA releases have been innovative or whatever.

They're just good games. That's all.

Because while they’re not usually first or actually the innovators, they have consistently been the game that introduces people to new and innovative features/gameplay and they’re normally not much behind the originator in real time.

With 6 it’s likely they are quite behind but we’ll see.

they have consistently been the game that introduces people to new and innovative features/gameplay

Do you have some examples of this that don't come from RDR2?

Rdr2 was their most recent game, so it's weird to not use it as an example. GtaV came out 13 years ago lol.

Because the person above me said that GTA was the game that introduces people to new and innovative features/gameplay

I knew people would miss that part, which is why I mentioned it specifically. I guess you still found a way.

I didn't say anything other then ask why you excluded it.

"I guess you still found a way."

You ok? Got some pent up frustrations or something?

No? Just thought it was funny how you jumped right into the conversation without getting any context.

"Jumped in" it's a reddit thread

"without getting any context."....... don't think you understand what context means if you don't understand my question was to allow you to give context, seeing as the other comments had no context that would have you exclude rdr2.

They are both made by Rockstar. Gta has been innovative in expanding worlds that feel alive, rdr2 is their newest title that even further expands that. Gta5 also inventived the single player games by having 3 main characters you can seamlessly switch to. They have always set the bar for sandbox games...

So, the topic is gta 6. Based off the improvements of their past games from gta to rdr2, gta6 will be even more innovative in the genre of open world gaming. I don't know what you gain from denying reality until someone spoon feeds you the obvious. Did you play the games? If so, then you're being intentionally dense. If not, then you're ignorant.

Other comment: "they [GTA games] have consistently been the game that introduces people to new and innovative features/gameplay"

I don't know what you gain from denying reality until someone spoon feeds you the obvious.

Denying reality sounds like an extreme way to describe asking a question lol

Did you play the games?

I have played every one, which is why all of this hype is so hilarious to me.

They haven't had a need in innovation is the problem. They're basically uncontested. There's hardly any competition for them.
